Ok, so its not nessisarly a discussion about EVE, but it is about Iceland, home of eve. I found it great that damn near everyone on that island knows about the game and CCP. You guys are a close nit island!
We had a few people at my branch today from Thorlakshofn, Iceland. For those in island that dont know, Anheuser-Busch is test marketing distribution in the United States for Icelandic Glacial bottled water. A great thing for that Iceland based company as AB has one of the most sophisticated distribution and wholesaler systems in the world, that stuff will be on every convience store, mom and pop and supercenter from coast to coast if the intial 14 test markets see some growth.
What I find funny was the 2 guys giving the presentation to us today, both from Iceland are avid EVE online players. I have yet to find anyone outside of my group of friends that play eve, which I find crazy, cause the game is excellent, but when I had mentioned I pay for a MMO that is based in Iceland both of them started launghing hystarically and immediatly mention EVE and CCP. I wonder how many iceland folks actually play the game, the brand loyalty seemed excellent. It made me wonder if you guys at CCP actually buy the Icelandic Water from your homeland with the same loyalty?

"Iceland-largely uninhabited and pollution free has one of the cleanest environments on the planet. Our water is universally acclaimed for its unique taste and exceptional purity. The source of 'Icelandic Glacial' water is the legendary Olfus Spring - a naturally replenished source formed over 4,500 years ago and shielded from pollution by an impenetrable barrier of lava rock."

Icelandic tap water > any bottled water (Reykjavfk being the exeption as the water smells there). But we are loyal to our Icelandic products in most cases. - - - - - - I have no strong feelings one way or the other... |

Honestly, I do not know what we even distribute to Iceland, possibly Budweiser and Bud Light?

Yeah, I found this out the hard way when I visited. I went to a gas station to buy bottled water and the guy told me I might as well fill up from the tap because it all comes from the same place! Little did I know!

all bottled water is just tap water from somewhere else run through some gravel and thrown into a bottle. On a side note bud lite is ****, but there are worse. Good old natural lite or stag the prefered beer for the broke college student. Thank god micro brews have really taken off in the US. My persoanl favorites are unfiltered wheat's followen by a good hoppy lagger then a nice thick stout that'll put hairs on your chest.
