Nebulai has instigated a very interesting discussion thread regarding Aurora and events, but the big questions are getting a resolute: "it's out of our hands, talk to CCP."
So CCP, what's going on? When do we get a President? When do the Amarr get an Emperor? When will the Insorum plot be resolved? We've been waiting years for some of this and it's getting more than a little beyond a joke. :/

My guess, and it is just a guess, is that when Doriam was assassinated, CCP were hoping that FW would be along in 3-6 months, and so the storylines were set up to lead into that.
But since then, there's been delay after delay after delay, and so they haven't been able to progress any of the storylines leading into FW - namely the assassination, the presidential elections and the Insorum malarky.
They've been hoping that nobody would notice the lack of progress.
My prediction is that on patch day for Kali 2, we'll see a flurry of news stories about a new Emperor seizing control, the President will declare martial law, and the Republic will start distributing the large quantities of Insorum that they've been producing in secret.
The problem with that is that I suspect that Kali 2's release schedule will become increasingly stretchy in the near future.
I'm sure that if I'm wrong, then Gnauton will be posting on this thread shortly to explain just why the delay has occurred, and when we'll be seeing some action.

I want to believe in Rodj's idea.
I do.
But sadly, Joshua's rings disturbingly true.

Yeah. Josh is right.
I think based on the amount of "we can't do that" and "that's CCP's gig" that we're hearing, CCP needs to consider giving AURORA more authority over PF, storylines leading to FW, and factions in general.

Or better yet, have a devoted divison in CCP for RP events excusively to work with AURORA and get these massive loose ends tied up. ------------------

Only one guy in the CONTENT section has done any work on the Alliance Tournament at all, LeMonde, afaik he hasn't done any different events since that's not his job.
Gnauton is the one who's hot for doing events etc, maybe some of the newbie ones, altho I think they're not allowed to ATM.
Basically CCP's prioritization is garbage, the people in power aren't assigning any dev resources to events and altho Oveur assured me they knew what they'd been doing wrong and would rectify it (at last fanfest), I haven't seen much progress personally
I actually believed him too.. I expected things to be looking up last february, instead they still have approx zero priority on events / roleplayers, and no sign of things changing (so far).
I'd love it if they actually had a bunch of devs full time playing ingame roleplay characters and devoting resources to ingame events etc.. I'd love being one of those devs even more. I don't know why they're not doing that, maybe they have different priorities from me.

If we look at AURORA timeline there are some nice developments.
In the beginning we couldn't touch anything that would change Prime Fiction. CCP took a wild chance and we were allowed to run the first prime fiction story arc with Mordu's Legion. The result was that AURORA was given even more faith in the sense that we got approval to run Prime Fiction events for most 0.0 factions.
It isn't a new Emperor but at least it is a good token of faith. So who knows what the future holds.

Yeah, wow - Tyrrax ft... t... ugh I can't ... ok... W. (Phew. )
And aye, Dogal, that is a very good progression that I wasn't 100% aware of. I simply think that if what Tyrrax says is right, and it seems CCP doesn't want to spend much time on the really big, world changing RP events and FW-type news stories, they shouldn't. I understand roleplayers constitute a very small portion of their market.
Rodj predicted a flurry of news pretty much all in the same moment before the Kali FW release. This wouldn't be very healthy in my opinion, because if it happens there's too much to digest at once. What would be healthy is a steady dose of new information, however big or small, concerning the road to FW. Overdosing the community might cause it to fall into chaos.
I have to say that I'm very impressed with the way things are turning out after your recent recruitment drive. But I am, in fact, obsessive compulsive, so I want to see everyone get what they want.

Err, copy and paste here? I think I heard something like that a couple of times over three past three years. So you're doing the prime fiction now for 0.0 factions. Intersting.
Where is the prime fiction around the four big empires? Where are the arcs that have been started? Where are the missing parts in those arcs that have been started (and preliminaryly) stopped half way through? Is it still that ccp doesn't want to spend the time while Aurora isn't allowed to do it? Are 90% of the news still getting lost on the way to being published between 'no time for idle words' and 'Tried five times to post without result because the forum software.'?
*sigh*
Wanna bet that the coming new content is dropped onto the server without any ingame stories attached to present it?
Oh, and that hired full-time writer, did he leave ccp already? Or is his work top secret and not meant for us pilots? It's half a year now that we got these news, you know.

We've had the PF for the 0.0 factions for a while now - I'd hoped that would of been noted by the large amount of these we've been pumping out. We currently have PF control over 7 (or 8) factions.
To answer your questions (to the best that I can)
Where is the prime fiction around the four big empires?
Aurora is only allowed to touch the Empire factions in a Tier 2 sense (Theirs another post around somewhere explaining the Tiers). Anything higher for Empire is restricted to CCP only.
Where are the arcs that have been started?
CCP are fully aware - and believe me they want them finishing, however other things have to be done first. The people I work with at CCP - it pains them just as much as us not to see them finished.
Where are the missing parts in those arcs that have been started (and preliminaryly) stopped half way through?
See above. The wheel has recently kicked back in motion - we should see results (I deliberatly didn't write soon here)
Is it still that ccp doesn't want to spend the time while Aurora isn't allowed to do it?
Aurora is not permitted to work with things that are deemed outside of our scope by CCP, this includes the Empire and certain other factions (Blood Raiders).
Are 90% of the news still getting lost on the way to being published between 'no time for idle words' and 'Tried five times to post without result because the forum software.'?
Aurora no longer handles the news department, the IC was fragmented off into its own division. Along with this, not all Aurora events are now published in the ingame news section - only the more important ones.

a vexor?
a couple limited run, almost as expensive as t2 BPCs for rogue drones? requiring drone compunds to build?
a single rogue drone with no guns that I can let fly around my ship and smile?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe there's no leader of the drones. Just the local overmind or whatever it's called in each of the complexes. Probably will never be able to fly a rogue drone ship, since they are exactly that drones (unmanned ships).
