I know we all love the nightmare. It's an awesome ship and it's simply epic. And I don't want to step on any toes here, also keep in mind this is personal preference. But dayum the thing is ugly. It really is like something straight out of a nightmare. I mean it's a mess of a design. I don't know who decided to put a blob on a stick and mount a bunch of spikes to it. My request is simple. The title says it all. Please re-skin the nightmare. Make it more... ship looking. Right now it looks like dead protein mass on a skewer. I don't mean tweak it here and there. I'm officially requesting a complete re-skin of the ship.
If you were actually out in space and saw this thing, you would probably first laugh, then puke, then run in complete horror at it's awesome firepower, and while devastating it doesn't look formidable at all. It looks like Ugh-tok's club, maybe something a demented warrior would swing at you in world of warcraft. Ships aren't meant to be wielded by giant, drooling, one-eyed monstrosities. The phantasm looks like a cooked minnow from some depths of the ocean with spikes all over. The sansha's carrier looks like a streak of bubbly, mucousy spit that I see on the walkways of the jobsite I work at. It's not space-esque and doesn't keep the theme of something flying in space. Maybe a complete re-design of the entire sansha's lineup would be in order. There have been community ship skinning contests. Maybe a theme or an idea can be spawned from some of the runner up's and something can be created from those ideas.

Most people? That's odd. Because every. single. person. I have talked to hates the design of it. Although not one single person I have run into hates flying one :) |

I mean seriously there are thousands of ship designs out there that would look waaaaaay better for the pirate faction ships than what is currently in game. Sure you like them and maybe a small handful of people have grown to love them but what I am saying is there are much, MUCH nicer designs out there that could make the pirate ships look insanely badass while still retaining the "pirate" value in their designs.. |

I have even bought a rokh and an abaddon just to look at something more visually pleasing, sacrificing firepower. |

I was not aware there was some requirement for what a "spaceship" looks like. If it's in space, and under it's own power, it's a spaceship.
When you build it in space, never enter atmo, and are not dependent on armor plating for defense, you can make you ships look like whatever you want to.
Stick spikes on. Make it wobbly. Have wierd outcroppings. Add more spikes. More wobble. Some random flashing lights.
Sansha Kuvakei doesn't give a **** about your particular opinion of his ships aesthetics. Of course, he's also barking mad.
But the long story made short is that given there are a large number of people who greatly like the current design, the chance of CCP redoing the models and skins into yet another generic streamlined forward facing mono hulled ship with uninteresting fins is very slim headed towards snowflake in hell. |

^^ Exactly this. One of the best looking ships in the game, especially the nightmare. 
A celestis redesign would be a much more well received use of dev time. |

I think the Nightmare is too straight. It could do with being somewhat more organic. Like a upright floating lobster from hell, more fitting to the primordial crustacean theme the Succubus and Phantasm emulate.

To much individuality is being stripped from EvE's hull designs of late. Take for instance the lose of the far more original hull designs of the Moa, Crow and Exequror and there replacement by very nice but far more boring and generic models. I fear we shall lose the Dominix soon.

I personally think Sansha ships are in a good place in terms of aesthetics. They are human ships, but tremendously different from the other factions'. They look both highly advanced and alien: smooth and uniform hulls with a metallic tone, lack of windows apart from those strange red domes, spikes and even animal-like spines (see lower Revenant). Even their atmospheric sounds resemble to organic machines (they sound like a heartbeat). And then you remember they're piloted by reprogrammed cyborgs.
That said, I wonder how would they look if we kept that style and bring them cylindrical hulls like these:

The new Dominix is going to look like this.
I'm going to agree with the others here that the Sansha ships are just fine. They're unique and definitely convey the disturbed and insane nature of their designer, Sansha Kuvakei. I'm also going to agree that the mothership needs less random bulges and more spikes. It looks, I hate to admit it, a bit too much like a massive celestial poo.
All those designs you linked are fine for the places they're currently found but you must admit they're very traditional and not very terrifying.. or interesting.. at least not in the way that Sansha ships are. |

why try too make them look more like the other ships in eve .. we all want more unique designs for ships in eve not less,
serpentis and gurista could use a whole new line of ships unique to them alone.
Tech 3's need to be multi role ships not cruiser hulls with battleship tank and insane resists.
ABC's are clearly T2 in all but name.. remove drone assist mechanic.
Nerf web strength ..... Make the blaster eagle worth using please.
