The system Jarkkolen is FILLED with macrominers. Tons of them. I've petitioned, but they're still operating. We can't possibly steal as much as they're putting out, so PLEASE! Come on down to this lovely .8 and liberate some ore for yourself. I swear, they will just keep mining.
*Offer only valid until Macrominer operation leaves.
You'll know you've come to the right system when you see names like ggyy123 jjkk123, etc.

Yeah this is no joke. Just arrived and there are easily 10-15 of these guys in local... but looking at the 20+ belts I can see why they choose here.
ahh well! Thanks for the tip and let the good times roll!

Rofl... when trying to buff up your claims, maybe not a good idea having your 1 day old alt repeat your exact words... ---

Unfortunately, I always have this feeling that... they're after the fun of miners trying to fight back. I don't think macrominers fight back that much.

Hmmm, considering that they're supposed to be macro miners, they do an awful lot of shooting back... :P Got 2 haulers full so far, though... tempted to set up a frig or cruiser to kick their behinds...

Maybe the isk farmers decided that they were gonna watch a screen or two from then out. :) ----- CEO, Astrum Contract Services Group

v\\\ I'm not her alt, I am simple a suicide character of annother person's main
The reason why I had the same line is I messed up when quoting her post and then just ended up deleting most of it as I thought I got it all. Oh well.
As to last night I didn't stay long, got a few loads and then suicided a few times.
If they are still around when I get back i'm gonna bring my main over(didn't want to last night because it was over 30 jumps away and take out a few of those covetors.

Still there! According to a few people nearby, they're infesting all systems connected to Hati.

Cheers for the heads up - this anti-macro mining sentiment really seems to be picking up yarrrr!!!!!
I've started leaving a bookmark in a can next to them once I've taken their hard-macro'd ore, so far managed to get to stage 3 of my gratitude to them before they shift....I do hope they're looking. Bookmarks as follows first - thanks second - thanks again third - you really are being generous today aren't you :)
If only we could drop into their jetcans LOL

Thanks for the tip off, Siriyana. Was a good chance to get my foot into the world of ore relocation ;) No killmails yet, but 10m or so in ore given a good home. I hope my kill mail situation changes soon though

Ummm... I thought that profiting FROM a macro miner was as bad as BEING a macro miner in CCPs eyes?

Or you can use my, admittedly less profitable, strategy. Take their ore, put it in your can, blow it up. Repeat.

Who needs to buy isk when you get it for free from the macro's themselves in the form of ore? =)

Well, I just had a field day out there. I was challenged on the first can by an 11 day old in a Kestral who promptly went pop. After that I can't even count how many cans I flipped, using the missiles 1 by 1 from the Kestral. Then about 10 minutes after that the Kestral pilot made what equated to a death threat to my family in local. I don't take it seriously since obviously they don't know me or my family, and I doubt that was a paid account so I didn't bother to petition.
If only I had a hauler with me there tonight.

Well after waking up this morning I spent another two hours in this system. All the same miners were there. There were mining barges with drones out in belts that were 100% stripped of every asteroid. I must have flipped about 30 cans and I know it must be making a big impact because eventually they started a convo. Well, a person who was not even in the system started a convo that is. He asked me to stop harassing the miners, the convo went on for a while and I won't bore you with all the details but I told him he shouldn't have threatened my family. He denied the threat, I quoted back the threat to the letter and his response was "Well, you were affecting our operation". After that I asked him now if he was admitting making threats and he closed chat.

Gicodel has been infested with both roid and ice miners (i suspect the ice is probably not macro'd with it's long cycle time, but they are still pretty obviously isk sellers), Shihuken always has 30+ ice miners to kill, mostly macks, retrievers and sometimes hulks.
I doubt anyone besides newbie miners care though (CCP obviously doesn't). Trit is still at 2isk, ice products are rapidly falling in price. It's a good time for consumers.
I've killed 4 macks in the last day but it's a mere drop in the bucket to these 23/7 operations.

Edited by: Geld Ned on 12/10/2006 12:34:24 I believe solution against macrominers exist. Three steps: 1) Every station must have Astronautic Service that protect huge miner and hauler ships from bumping each other. When you approach station may appear text "your order mark is [little picture with symbols that program can't recognize as in e-mail services], CONFIRM and follow to dock noted with related mark" 2) Containers for ore are not sold but rented by symbolic summ 0.1 ISK in hour. Container owners rent their own property on 5 or 6 hours (may be precised) after that their agents get countainers and drop what is within (ore lost). If miner are come to station rented containers may be used again on the same period. 3) if a miner character are login 90% time within 5 day period that here are play more than 1 player or work macro. Both aren't allowed.
This may cut off macrominer bussiness.
