Thanks. We decided to start early and skip all database maintenance today because all of CCP is working on helping the GMs answering petitions. ------ Valar Database admin - Server operations team CCP Games How to write a good bugreport |

Edited by: Chribba on 22/09/2006 11:44:53 It's funny how everyone turns quickly from whining to praising when servers come back early or likewise. imo CCP do an outstanding job every day, no matter if there is problems or not since they work to make this game work for us.
Good work and keep it going CCP!

answering petitions is good but lets hope the bugs that lead to these petitions are fixed instead sooner rather than later

God, i hate technicians who try to weasle out of ever dealing with customers. It's usually the sign that they're either lazy, arrogant.. or afraid the customer will know more then them about the subject matter.
Kudos for the Eve DEV team for helping out.

The efforts of the Devs in assisting the GMs with the petition queue were very successful, with a whopping 6,000 petitions answered. There was even an instance where the Devs crashed a node due to the number of staff logged in and helping out.
I do want to take this opportunity to thank the community members that heeded my request a couple days ago to close duplicate petitions. This helped out the team efforts today.

They go hand in hand, I think.
Long petition queue = lots of whining = bad mental stability! ---- This is a sig. There are many like it, but this one is mine. |

So they did no database maintenance today? I hope that doesn't mean TQ will crash tonight if the database fills up again.

You guys act like a bunch of victims or that you performed some heroic act. You wouldn't have a petition queue 12 lightyears long if you (speaking to CCP collectivley) didn't keep screwing up!
6,000 petitions cleared out? How long does it take to type: "No. Best of luck recovering from your loss."?
If you would quit blaming murphy and start taking notice of your own shortcomings and screwups perhaps you wouldn't need everyone in Iceland helping with your petition queue!
