So for all the nerf mission people that think it will bring more people into 0.0 what about people in my shoes.
I like to PVP, in fact I love it. however I hate the grind for it. My alliance holds a small area, however there isnt much ratting space. When it is filled I go PvPing.
I use looted mods to pay for ships in a lot of cases. However when I have a bad week, I go do lvl 4 missions to supplement my income.
I am pretty much like a boxer sitting in my corner waiting for the next round while missions running. What this nerf can be compared to is a boxer going to his corner and having his stool pulled out from under him and being slapped around by his trainer.
Sorry I dont live in the right timezone and have a job so I cant farm complexes. I am not wanting to do missions 2 weeks a month to be able to PVP the other 2.
For people like me this nerf is going to cut down my log in time. Simple as that. I dont log in to do missions. I log into to PVP. I also know there is a lot of people in my shoes as well.
This is how it has started in every other game I have played in. The whiners get their way and it has negative adverse affects on the game as a whole.
You guys keep whining though. Whine until the only way to make money is to mine in Omist....I am sure that will enhance game play.

CCP wants players to migrate out to 0.0 as they increase experience. They've tried a few things over the years to force the playerbase out into 0.0.
The reason for this is to make it easier for new players giving them more resources in empire. Becuase EVE is single shard having 90% of players in Empire means new players find it hard to get a foothold and may not stay. Making it difficult for CCP to increase the player and hence income.
EDIT : Just to add why I think CCP don't really care about the exploiting. We were given a load of bull about data mining and the EVE economy and balancing ISK sinks and faucets. So how did data mining not pick up the complex issue? If its not an exploit then it should've flagged for balancing. So the data mining balancing thing was a load of tosh or CCP knew about the complexes.
This is CCPs greatest failing, they continue to try to force the player base into their vision rather than accepting that many players vision is different than CCPs.
It is the same failing that SOE had in SWG. If you fail to listen to the playerbase and provide for the majority of the player base, which we all have to admit is in Empire not 0.0 in EVE, then you are going to lose said player base in time.
6 months ago a good friend from SWG said he was afraid Kali was going to be the NGE of EVE. The more I've read of the changes, the more I"ve heard about it, the more afraid I've become that he might just be right.
No game can survive if you cater only to the smaller player base, which in EVEs case is 0.0 play. You have to ask yourself, why are people not moving to 0.0?
Nerfing anything in Empire only hurts new people coming into the game. I've not heard of anyone moving to 0.0 because of the mission changes, because of the changed mining fields, or the rearranging of agents. So why aren't they going?
The reason is very complex and is not limited to one issue, but the principle reason as far as I can see is that many are not wanting to or willing to accept the risk of being constantly shot at by others just to make some more isk.
The established forces in EVE have such a control on the strangleholds that it is practically impossible for anyone else to move into 0.0 with any sort of numbers. It is this same reaons that low sec in these strangleholds is actually more dangerous than Empire or 0.0 in many cases.
As I said there are many reasons but this is one of them, if you live in 0.0 you still have to return to Empire at various times for various things, thus you need to have a more secure method of travelling between the two.
Another problem is that to thrive in 0.0 and even low sec to some extent you need access to tech 2 ships and equipment. However the current unbalanced system of BPO distribution for these makes them cost 10 times what you can get at 100% insurance. Prices are only going to continue to rise as more people play the game unless more BPOs are seeded. There are some equipment BPOs that are tech 2 where there are 4 or less in service, no way can that few supply what needs to be done.
In short want more people to move to 0.0, you need to reduce the cost of living there such that the average player can live there and still have fun even if they lose a few t2 ships.

Probably a bit early to associate Kali with the NGE or the the CU, and CCP hasn't done anything to indicate they are nearly as thick as SOE.
If it does prove to be like the N-G-E, it'll be the E-N-D of E-V-E for M-E, lol. I've been on that ride before and it goes nowhere fun.

All the people that dislike lvl 4 missions in high sec dont have to cry to the devs.
Player interaction is the name of the game right?....
Just wardec every entity that goas in and out of the stations at Major mission hubs. Noob corps are another issue entirely however I see plenty of players in non-noob corps doing missions.
I mean it wouldnt be whining if you used the game mechanics that are in place to get what you want. That IMO would at least be respectable instead of spamming the board with your personal risk vs reward equations.

Lol, reading these forums is like watching my sanity slowly drain from my body.
Im so sorry but i didnt realise i was playing a MMOPVP. Oh wait.. im not playing a ****ing MMOPVP im playing a MMORPG according to the websites and revies of this game, since when did role playing translate to PVP only.
Maybe once and for all we could get a OFFICIAL responce from the DEV TEAM as to if this game is a PVP game or an RPG game?
I mean if its an RPG game, whats to stop anyone role playing even the most boring 1.0 mission runner. It is their right to play that role if they wish. Same as its a players right to role play a low sec Pirate, or even god forbid a High sec Ore Thief. I just wish people would get their fingers out of CCPs ring peice and let them tell us what this game is meant to be.
If it is meant to be an MMOPVP, then the people that dont want to play a PVP only game can choose to stay or leave, and if its an MMORPG then the people that cant deal with role play can coose to stay or leave.
Waht do you say CCP?

Sorry but i fail to see how doing a mission with no gang assistance is PVP, unless of corse CCP hace started manually controling the NPC's?
PVP may well be a part of this game and indeed a sizable part of this game, it is by no meens mandatory to willingly engage in PVP in eve. A charactor for instance can go through his / her eve life without ever interacting with another person directly if they so choose.
So please feel free to expand on your "Everything in EVE is PVP" notion if you would be so kind?

Player versus player, its not all about fighting.
A: If you are a producer and sell your items on the market you compete against other producers, PvP B: if your a buyer and playes the market you compete against other Players, PvP C: If you mine the best roid fiels out there, you take away the opportunity for other players to mine them, PvP D: if you run missions, get the best BPO's,Items and generally accumulate more points, than other mission runners its PvP E: if you fight or build alliances, claim space, you prevent others from settling there, PvP
Allthough you think you can play EVE, without ever interacting or speaking to someone, you still by your actions PvP.
Hope this clarifies it. We have had thousands and thousands of these post on the forums. PvP do not have to be"Highnoon" shootouts

Tough. Its designed as a PvP game. Live with it.

I just had to reply to this when I saw it, since it's so completely and utterly full of crap.
I don't know what level 4 missions you've been running, but they aren't all "no-risk" I've found many of them to be very difficult and I've suffered a few losses in the process. (granted I'm new to missions having never really run them till a few months ago but I'm certainly not new to eve)
Your statement about EvE being a pvp game insinuates that the player has no choice about it but that is total crap as well. It's obvious to anyone with eyes that there are hundreds of systems with a security rating of .5 and above which means the players can CHOOSE whether or not they wish to pvp.
