Even if we dont have 10/10 in the north (and id like to run 10/10 guri someday) i say NO to static plexes. And i'd really like to have normal ones to be removed and become random...

Any reason why the orbits on the new map appear to be circular rather than eliptical?

Intersting .
Just as a side note very strange that Captial lettering is becomming more and more prevalent in the ui. So was the system OKOC or 0K0C . OK0C or 0KOC ?

might make territory more flexible - its just lazy farming alliacnes that dont watn em moved - CCP ignore them the RA debacle says enough mvoe em around they will still be in same constellation region that alliances control just means they will be more open and less farmable

New seamless map makes me feel rude in my pants.
One thing I am beginning to fear though, is that there is simply no reason to remain in the North. Substantial new content (in the form of 8 regions and a new NPC) is being added to the southeast corner of the map, and no doubt that these new complexes will be more prevalent in the south where there are more regions.
Can we northerners get some love too?

There's a new symbol in the menu down the left, I notice - seven down from the top. Is that for the new contracts system?

Looks like a contract icon to me, I wonder if you can open up the contracts window while in space?

God made a mistake when he made the orbits elliptical, CCP has obviously fixed this very old bug.

If you look on the orbits of the planets of our solar system, all of them except Mercury (and Pluto) have a very low eccentricity, so you would not notice it in a truely scaled image. You can find the exact data in wikipedia under planets

The new cosmos regions will be scattered all over the map. So yes, you guys in the North will be getting some love too.
As for eliptical orbits, just rotate the view a little so you are seeing the system from an angle.

The new regions are supposed to be accessible from the North somehow. One of the reasons CCP are adding them is because the South has too much territory as it is. As far as we know, they might not even appear in the location they are now, and magically move across the map..

More important:
What kind of cosmos will we face? Last time a dev promised that 0.0 cosmos is no way related to the empire cosmos we know. Cosmos is just a name for new content added to Eve.
In your blog it seems that the 0.0 cosmos is just another grind in addition to the empire grinds we already have. So cosmos and the 10/10 complexes = grinding npc
or cosmos and the 10/10 complexes = player interaction and fun?
I dont realize if you know this, but we dont need more grind in 0.0. We moved to 0.0 to avoid all those stupid carebear grind we would face in empire. 0.0 is all about to minimize PvE interaction and maximize PvP interaction. Whether its shooting, diplomatic or industrial nature.

Nice try, but that won't work, as the star should sit at one of the two foci of the elipse, not the centre.

I imagine being a Dev he knows because he saw the plan...
...or do you mean how do players know?
It's going to be amusing if they just release them with no announcement in advance as lots of people scramble - more likely I guess there will be some build up to it!

Originally by: lil'devil Please no more 10/10 complexes. It only benefits a small number of exploiters and farmers and does nothing but aggrevate the remaining 99.9% of the eve population.
Seriously Devs, just take a look at the existing plexes, go and have a look, you will see the same people, 3 times a day (well or every 45mins ) farming the plex forever.
FYI some of these complex farmers are paying real $$$ to alliances to keep farming undisturbed.
Dude, I think they are already implementing a fix for this. 2 days ago, a GM came to our complex in NZPK, in Omist. Well, RA has had a god damn carrier pilot and a few others that do NOTHING but stay in that plex and farm it day in and day out. And they stay cloaked and take the keys to the plex after every DT and no oen can do anything about it. But.....
It seems the GM told them to leave and that they cannot "farm" the plex anymore. The warning was given to everyone in system it seems.
To me this is something that has been needed for a long time. They should have a timer that everyone gets when they first activate the entry gates toa plex so that you cannot enter the same complex again for 24 hours or better yet 48 hours. To me this is fair because it gives everyone a chance to run the plex.

Stuff like that gate activation makes it easier for people to do the complexes too, makes it less chance for PvP and risk.
When I was pirating in Ouelleta in Placid (or one of those crappy Gallente borderzones) I'd get countless kills in the 4/10 complex there.

problem is with complexes:
its all about who can log in first after downtime.
when you can only play between 18-22 eve-time you have ZERO chance to ever run a complex in this game! (ok, maybe the useless ones which dont drop loot).
Every decent complex is camped by people logging in 2x per day (or 1x when you could exploit some) and farming the complex and logging out again.

"I hope the devs realize they have to integrate the background as actual objects at some point in time - as it stands now i think the seamless map will actually make size less immersize than it already is due to the static background textures."
I want Ysaneya do the backdrop renders :/
