So with skillpoint lose gone and medical cost gone, and npcs starting to pod people even in highsec, Why is there still such a Super Atomic Massive Negative securtiy penatly hit for podding?
Even in lowsec.....?
Now if you commit criminal agression, you lose secstatus, makes sense It is also relative to the systems sec status (ie you gank a venture in a 1.0 you lose more secStatus then if you did the same in a .5) Also makes sense...
Yet in LOWSEC in a .4 system, if you pod someone, your sec status is NUKED! Shouldnt podding in a .1-.4 be the same rate? Also way less than current?
Why is this like this still after all the changes to take away podloss negatives/loss/risk? |

That, in theory, provides some additional safety to those PvPers there encouraging other players not to destroy thier pod and is part of the few mechanics that provide the "low" part of low security space.
If you want to pod players without consequence go to wormholes or null. Otherwise just pod them and accept the consequences of ignoring the rules of low security space.
Your choice.

Considering how long it takes to get to -10 I'd prefer the sec hit to be increased not decreased. I've been stuck at -9.6 for ages. We should also get free monocles when we hit it. For both eyes. And a better wanted sign.

Op, my take is that Low Sec = Awkward Null sec light land. It really needs less punishment sent to the players. How would I like Low Sec to function? One change of thought with it. "If Concord didn't see you do it, you got away with it!"
Sadly, it seems Kill mails are _mostly accurate _evidence of aggression. So, to fix,those 'Kill mail things', would have to only exist where CONCORD are. High sec only.
Solution: Remove all Killmails from Low sec and Null sec and unless Concord were in the system to record the event, it never happened.
Cheaper than paying for your sec status to be fixed again as well.
Sadly, the level of epeen and willy waving surrounding killmails squashes this idea, so "Off to Jail with you!"

Empire space is empire space. Your sec status hit is directly proportional throughout empire. Just because concord is awol doesn't mean you can shoot everything without penalty.

disco a bunch of pods in jita I went from +5 to -10 in about 10 seconds

Generally speaking, it's bizarre that standard lowsec gameplay (shooting stuff) has a near-zero effect on your lowsec experience (except fairly rare gate/station crimewatch mechanic games), but instead has a huge effect on your highsec experience.
Not that lowseccers care much about highsec, but please remind me why facpo discouraging them from occasionally roaming through highsec is good game design?

Clone tags allow you to buy back your security status, so it's never been easier to return to high sec than it is now. If you don't want the sec status hit, no one is forcing you to shoot at pods in empire. |

No.
Most 0.4s border high sec, the entry points for newbros and first-time lowseccers. One of the reasons many lowsec areas such as Khanid are so dead and empty is because people like to gatecamp those entry points, despite the penalties already, for easy killboard padding.
How about you balls up like a real lowseccer and go -10? No real lowseccer needs that sec status anyway, and then you can stop begging on the forums for cheaper kills with less penalties, because you won't care about the penalties anymore.
