I am interested in the community's reaction to a major war. For months upon months, the community has watched BoB take what they want. They have demonstrated that they excel incredibly at fleet warfare. Their FC's have shown they have what it takes to fight the best in the game and emerge victorious. For those months, we have also endured the anti-BoB posts, and the "How can we destroy this monster called BoB" posts. Well it really seems like the community has gotten it's wish. Two of the largest Alliances are about to duke it out. So what does this mean as far as politics? Both Alliances have very intricate webs of alliegences and hostilities. Is this the point EVE's history when it is truly the North vs the South? Who will side with whom? Is AXE declaring on BoB? Who will MC go after? What about FIX? LV? D2? Who is willing to fly a massive fleet 40+ jumps to the enemies home system? But, most importantly, are these giant Allainces willing to gamble that they server will allow fleet battles involving Deathstar POS's, hundreds of ships, and (dare I utter it) dueling Titans with their compliments of support Capital fleets? Certainly the devs have done some excellent work increasing the stability, but this war threatens to push the server's software to places it's never imagined. Thank you for contributing your constructive opinions and information. Side Note: I say this all in complete and utter seperation from my employers. I think it's possible that (given proper server stability) both these giants can mass a big enough force to not have a POS-ping-pong war, and actually do some proper damage.
