Sudden death, and the man with 13 toes
Locutus ofBorg was his name. (No, he's not the one with 13 toes. At least, not that I know of. That comes later.) I knew of him, back when he was JeanLuc Picard. A good man, I'd heard. I had been saddened to learn that he had become assimilated by the Borg, and was now calling himself Locutus. Wherever he went, so went death. The two travelled together, you see. Locutus led his Borg and death followed him around.
Today it was my turn to meet them.
I was wandering the asteroid belts, looking for a pirate to fight. I was keeping in mind my new rule of only fighting those I thought I might win against, and avoiding the rest.
Suddenly my overview was flashing red as Locutus ofBorg warped into the belt. I immediately checked to see what kind of ship he was flying. And then something bad happened. Something really bad.
First there was the distinct lack of response from the ship, and all I could see was the flashing red alert, but nothing else was happening.
"Dammit!" I yelled in my mind, flailing my arm in the gel and managing to hit the wall of the pod. "What's wrong with you, you piece of junk!"
I guess I shouldn't have done that, 'cause everything went dark. The neural interface with the ship had shut itself down, probably in protest at my abuse. I was effectively blind.
With a number of interestingly phrased expletives that I better not repeat here, I reactivated the neural links. While the pod was powering itself up again, and I was logging back into the ship, I could only wonder what had been happening outside.

The life of an adventurer
Anyone who said travelling the galaxy and seeking out adventure was easy obviously haven't done it. It's not. In fact, it's downright dangerous, dark and cold. Very cold. And quiet too. So quiet, no one can hear you scream.
Especially when your cruiser gets destroyed by battleships and battlecruisers, all working together to ensure you can't go anywhere.

We're at war!
That's right, my corp has had war declared against it by a band of pirates calling themselves Darkside Inc. This happened about 5 days ago, and as soon as it happened, I was forced to cancel my travel plans and return back to corp HQ. War plans needed to be arranged.
What an interesting time it's been! I've never been in a war before, and it's actually quite amusing. You have these pirates scurrying around taking it all so very seriously, getting upset when you taunt them by running around the system in a shuttle, then calling you all manner of names for not fighting their group of elite cruisers and battleships in your T1 cruiser.
I mean, really... what kind of idiot chooses to engage in a battle they can't win?

The war is over, and Darkside Inc lost.
The war is over, but there were casualties. My allies deserted me, succumbing to Darkside's strategy to divide, all thanks to a traitor within my corp who was passing information on to the enemy.
But still, I was confident that my own strategy would succeed; the strategy of guerilla warfare, of choosing the battles to fight, of knowing when to run and when to stand and fight.

no we didnt lose the war we canceled it as you pussied out and joined nam`zar kin as you were getting your arses wiped by us. you corp cant fight alone. you have to involve others you petty excuse for a pirate hunter. :D and yes a person from your corp gave us info. and the decent people left you corp because they saw what a perfectic excuse of a ceo you are.

What's important, my pirate friend, is that my corp did not surrender, our losses were minimal, and you lost the war that you declared on us. Everything that you tried to achieve from your declaration of war, you failed to achieve.
Your strategy has always been to attack corps that are weaker than you, and no matter how you look at it, you bit off far more than you could chew on this occasion. It would have been an act of stupidity to have our weaker corp members engage you in open combat, and I'm not known (in these parts) for engaging in acts of stupidity.
You can whinge about it as much as you like, but the fact of the matter is that you tried to attack a corp that you thought you could beat. Nothing wrong with that at all, but on this occasion, you lost. |

1. By your own actions you got War Dec'd.
2. You were a 50 man corp, we are a 30 man corp.
3. The day before the war you and several of your members made several comments about how much you were going to defeat us the following day.
4. You ran off all over empire.
5. You didnt kill one member of our corp.
6. You lost members because of YOUR lack of leadership.
7. You join an alliance that already hates us :)
8. We retracted the war as we are 30 and NMTZ are 550+
I dont not see how you can claim victory. You make all sorts of gestures of supremecy, yet you ran off and hide, you joined an alliance that is known to dislike our corp.
We stood and fought and yes we may have incurred losses to NMTZ but we did not incurr losses to yourself.
If one gets themself into a situation like one did, then one should surely sort out their own problems, and not run off to an alliance then claim victory.
It truley is pathetic

I remember we destroyed you, Nerdalus, and it's because of your crybaby attitude that you went running to your boss and cried about it until you got your corp to wardec us.
And you still don't get it. Victory doesn't always come from having the biggest ****, which is what you lot seem to think. You're all upset 'cause your ****s shrivelled up from inactivity. Victory comes from using your brain, and making sure the odds are in your favour.

Aswell i would like to add that i did not or do not have to go run crying to my CEO, as a director of this corporation i have direct input and contrary to your opinion we do actually like pvp.
Its funny that you claim to be a PVP corp , Anti-Pirate organisation, but you run and hide behind an alliance when the numbers are even. You also contradict yourself by your comments on this forum and those in-game. Its actually quite sad that you thought you won, when in reality you are now under the thumb of NMTZ and your corporation is in disarray. Please also refrain from using vulgar terminology, it makes you look bitter
