Am I playing EVE or did I end up in a badly acted version of 'the fortress'?
I file a petition in june
After three months, I get a reply, saying that they will appoint a senior GM to investigate.
three days after this notice, this GM sends me a mail, asking me for a timestamp (where the thing that I petitioned went wrong)
Two days later, I reply to this person with the requested information.
I get a notice that the petition has timed - out waiting for client reply! The next day I get a mail informing me that my last comment has been filed as a NEW PETITION AT THE BACK OF THE PETITION QUEUE !
UNHAPPY CUSTOMER HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've got the same problem, i've had my characters stolen, and its taking an age. It's frustrating, not only because I can't play, but also because i'm paying for something i cant use. How will i even be able to read my petition if i dont keep subscribing. So its free money for them.
But i am quite disturbed about the recent performance of the petition system, i remember the days when things were solved quickly. Fortunately mine hasn't timed out yet, however it has been open for 3 weeks nearly, and i thought it would be something that would be jumped on quickly. I really hope it will be solved, here's to hoping.

I want some ccp guy to give me an apology , or a mod to tell me how the HELL i'm supposed to follow through on this issue now.
Alternatively tell me how I can directly contact GM Nova so that I can ask some justification of this ridiculous prodecure fault on a petition THAT HAD AS SUBJECT INCONSISTENCY OF GM ACTION (OMG the irony)
is not about the petition anymore, it's about BAD CLIENT SUPPORT !

you are ill informed.
I did what the GM said
The GM ASKED me to send a timestamp through mail.
however BEFORE I HAD THE CHANCE TO DO SO, the petition was CLOSED !
That's after three months of waiting for them to react ! I don't answer within 48 hrs of them asking for the timestamp ( i have a life besides eve) and all of a sudden they get to ignore it ? SCREW THAT !

I see on the petition link that this petition has timed -out. I hope you are kidding : You made me wait for months before I got anyting but the standard reply, and within 3 days of the mail of GM nova the petition timed out ? Anyway as far as the timestamps go , the 250 shares bought by me went through this transaction in my wallet as far as I can find it back : 2006 06 11 , at 06:31 EVE time 1 250 000 000 isk was transferred from Stingy CEO's account into Jeanette's account.

Ew, unfortunately I think the mods will slap ya w/ a snip-stick for posting direct comms from a petition. Pretty sure that's not allowed.
That whole situation does suck, though. (Based on the info given). Hope you get that resolved Soon(tm)er rather than later.

Hmm, you might want to look over what you've posted so far. You know, the personal conversation and stuff. Wouldn't do you any good to get a warning due to discussing GM actions or posting personal communication with GMs. - Three years old |

The problem is after what happened I see no harm in getting a warning. I'm that ****ed of.
I wasn't aware that it wasn't legal on these forums to show private convo's with GM ....
Is there any way that I can -Directly- contact this GM nova that sent me the last mail ?

Not a jab against CCP GMs, BUT, every petition I've filed I've gotten a message from a GM saying, "we are now looking into the issue for you." Only to have my petitions closed 2 days later as, "petition timed out waiting for client response."
I'm not exactly sure what the hell I'm supposed to do. I'm supposed to respond with something when the GMs tell me, "we're looking into it?"

As you can see in this Knowledge Base article, you have to reply to a petition within 48 hours after a GM reply, or it will time out and be automatically closed.

So we wait 1-3 months for a reply, and we have to move heaven and earth to reply back to you in 48 hours, or otherwise you wait another 1-3 months.
Hello? People go on holiday. People go out for the weekend.
Quite honestly you guys need to relook at your customer service policies, because every day I come onto these forums, I see complaint after complaint about the lacklaster customer service.

This is not something new, you were always required to answer within about 48 hours, or the petition times out.

How about you shove that comment up your arse and be glad that you're playing on a single server and the devs reply to your posts.
pst this is not blizzard ie yank
If you have nothing constructive to add fanboy get lost.
I should be glad that I am "PAYING" to wait 3 months for a reply? Oh yes indeed .... I am so grateful.
When you could expect a reply from a GM in a day or two after your initial petition that policy might have been viable. However, now that you wait months for a reply, expecting a turn around of two days is very shortsighted.
It doesn't lower your petition queue, it instead increases it, and decreases your customer loyalty.

Originally by: Lugz I work as a Technical Support Engineer for a living. And there are a list of things that are definate failings of CCP:
-Long response times, you introduce errors that introduce more petitions it happens. Your fix is throwing underskilled GMs at it to kill the queue rather than to fix the root cause.
-Rude GMs, as a Tech Support person you get frustrated, but you can't take it out on the customer
-Bug Reports, we report an issue via petiton or bug reporting system, it's a black hole, we have no feedback or way of knowing if anything is ever being done
-GMs closing petitons, I've had a case were a petition was closed simply because CCP did not want to look at the issue, if we must wait 2-3months for a response, do something, don't ignore the issue
I feel that CCP develops a good game, but seriously falls short in customer satisfatcion. Do a survey CCP you'll find out how bad of a job you really do here.
Sir, you ever played other MMOs? How about GM Dave for a rude gm?
It shouldn't matter, we deserve to be treated like the valued customers we are. It doesn't matter if we are playing a MMO, or buying a coke, we are paying someone for something they are provided. After all, it's customer loyalty that keeps a game like this going.
