for dynamic BlackOops
1. cloak module's Scan Resol penalty remove bonus BlackOps always fit Cloaking module. cloaking mod inhibit BlackOps's 0sec decloak bonus so add role 'remove Scan Resolution Penalty'
2. cloaking-but active module cloaking but can active module (decloak when use smartbomb) Good for example 1)outgrid warp and active 100MWD and run to target's grid. 2) active Sensor Booster II and suddenly Ambush target (make easy control)
3. interdiction Nullifier BlackOps cannot use covert cloak, and not tanky interdiction Nullifier will make effective for penetrate outer camping and Escape from Dangerous. good to hit and run |

at most blops just need a slimier resist profile as the recons now have and maybe give the sin a drone tracking bonus rather than a hybrid damage bonus
(maybe a fatigue bonus closer to 70% rather than 50% but that would just be nice and is not needed at all)
for the most part BLOPS are very balanced with each filling its own niche as a blop and the class over all doing its niche in the game very well.
the scan res penalty is already compensated for in the ships base stats and gives you a high base scan res if you chose to go w/o cloak
they don't need to activate modes while cloaked and you use a cyno to jump onto your target not an mwd

I agree to point 1. This isn't too bad an idea, considering cloaks are kind of the thing that Blops do. Though if they currently have an unusually high scanres to compensate for the penalty, bring that scanres down a bit first.
Point 2 is hilarious and will never happen.
Point 3 is even more hilarious.

that would just limit options currently the choice of weather or not to use a cloak or what cloak to use is dependent on the scan res penalty and the speed penalty (or boost after level 3)
so removing that and just lowering the base scan res i would see as more of a nerf than an asset since i could no longer get as high of a scan res if i chose not to use a cloak and that is a common choice when using them to hot drop

+1 for a built in cloaking device on blops +1 for scan res but if the cloaky is built in, then you could just tweak the stock scan res. Everything else just sounds game breakingly over powered. |

built in cloak just means one less high slot and one fewer choice you can make in fitting
and again the base states for the blops already consider the scan res penalty of cloaking

1) cost has nothing to do with it
2) a built in cloak would just mean the removal of a utility high
3) in almost every situation you use a CONCORD cloak or if you don't have the skill another faction cloak such as cal navy if you use any cloak at all there is no reason to go cheap an a blops by using a T2 cloak unless you want to gimp yourself
so it would just be a nerff rather than anything else even if it sounds "cool" to have a built in cloak

so as stated before no different than it is now just with less choice but wait his idea also comes with the added benefit of being clunkier and requiring more dev time

lol it's been a while since there was a blops thread so anything that keeps it on the front page
like i said b4 blops are already rather balanced and the most i think needs changing is maybe better resists and a slight change to the sin either removing its hybrid damage bonus or its agi bonus and adding in a drone tracking one
or give it a bit more armor so it is a bit more on par with a redeemer in a brawl
with that said the sin isn't bad it just doesn't fill a role as well as any of the other three
do that and BLOPS will be able to fill there role w/o being OP and without being a bit anemic in combat
but to be honest i fly all but the gal one regularly and have never found myself feeling like they weren't able to fill their role of moving a fleet or providing on grid support when need be

you want solo ganking the redeemer or panther will suit you better if you pick your targets right if you go ecm widow and miss one round of jams your will melt against anything bigger than a t1 cruiser in most cases (however you also have the ability to jam and run if you are lucky)
but a shield widow with maybe 1-2 ecm and a full load of BCS in lows will do just as well as any redeemer and now that you can use RHML it's even stronger on cruisers and even some frigate gangs if you know what you are doing

no not weak just that they could use a slight buff their if you felt like giving them anything more me trying to contribute an idea to blops overall
as i said i find the BLOPS to be pretty well balance and unique ships if all that is changed is a bonus or two on the sin i think the entire class will be rounded out nicely

When running gangs I always armor tanked my scorps and widow and ran logi and ecm support. Not the most orthodox fitting but it worked for small gangs. But you have a very good point, recon ships are now much more bang for the buck in this category. |
