Edited by: hupa on 26/10/2003 11:42:59 Edited by: hupa on 26/10/2003 11:42:10 I think if u check the systems around h-pa and 6nj8 u find a total of 42 ships destroyed in the last 24hrs 2 off em were Biomass the other 40 were NVA, it was a slaughter, NVA bravely tried to stand there ground though, so fair due to em, but it seems there lack of pvp and military co-ordination led to an embarresing defeat, adding last nites kills with the other 2 engagements Biomass have had with the nva this week equals to NVA having lost somewhere around 25-30 batships and 30+ cruisers.
It has now been shown that the NVA can not even secure there own territory, they out numbered the Biomass/Crice/SPVD fleet 2-1, and could still not cause the Bio+allies more than 2 casualities, the big question is now, how much longer can the NVA hold together after loosing atleast 1.6billion worth of shipping in 4 days, add the weapons/components lost with this and clone replacements should raise the total to over 2billion isk easily if not 3billion.
peace and love ud hate to know what where up to with ur corpses, corpses make us so

I've been speaking to a few pilots that stood in the blockade against bio.. From what I heard the nva had more than enough ships to deal a decisive blow against bio, however for some reason they moved their forces from a jump in camp to another location then tried to attack bio who were in a camped position.
I don't pvp often, but I can see the outcome of that one..
Does anyone have any details as to how the battle went, how long did the stand off between fleets last? Or did both fleets just charge in as soon as they reached opposing systems?

Though now we all see how poorly orginized NVA is...

Dear BioMass, you have tried before with EVOL and failed, first, Obe, then, Curse, then Venal, but do say the word, and we will be happy to assist in your destruction.
But, since you seem to have grown a pair after getting some success, i suppose you dont know whats good for you.

Dear Evolution,
I don't know what word you lapdogs of Venal want to hear so I will give you two---one begins with the letter 'F' and the other sounds like the letter 'U'.
And for the record you sound like you guys did the Obe/Curse thing all by yourselves and lets not forget the module exploits shall we? EVE-I.com~THE Info source |

Seems you chaps would like some comment and your result deserves notice.
Well done, you won a crushing victory over the NVA fleet last night and have a right to trumpet and brag your triumph for a while.
But don't believe m'dears, that the NVA is just 20-30 ships.
It's an idea you see.
A dream; a hope and bright aspiration fair combined.
A union of camaraderie and trust, and heroes bound in single vision to bring a region of space from darkness into the light of common interest and universal prosperity.
Never forget m'dears that you used traitors and turncoats to win your victory.
And such people are always dangerous weapons to carry close to your breast.
One never knows when a traitor once will feel the itch to turn traitor once again.
The ejection of Hupa and Violation from NVA is worth the loss of 50 ships.
Our payment,
A little peace of mind.

There is no need for flaming Diamond Dog, lets just get on with it with a little best of british fighting spirit and see where we are in six weeks.
Wars take a long time.
PS. Morkt, the battle happened while I was sleeping, not sure of the exact figures but it was very bad.
Most of the NVA fleet was left in pods.
Short account is ... we attacked. The decision took guts and courage and commitment.
And we all know what happens to attackers in the current environment in roughly even numbers.
And yes Biomass, I know that NVA outnumbered you at times, but during a gang warp certain members turn up late, some crash, some go to the wrong place. Etc etc.
Still, this probably counts as one of the largest fleet clashes in Eve so far, and certainly the worst defeat the NVA have ever suffered in pure numbers.
It's a dark day to be sure, but you know what they say ....
When you walk through a storm, Hold your head up high, And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm, There's a golden sky, And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Though your dreams be tossed and blown.. Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, And you'll never walk alone. Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, And you'll never walk alone. You'll never walk alone.

Here is the basic stats of the battle and how it came to pass.
Biomass & friends were minding there own buisness and noticed some rather large red dots on the map heading tward our mining opp. {yes Pirates have to do it too} We decided to stop mining and gear up for some pending fun. Well after hours of waitting nothing came of it, So Biomass and Friends decided to take the fun to Venal.. When we finaly arived in Venal Our numbers were approx 17 Battleship and like 2 crusers. Our scouts reported like 40 enmy ships holding strong for the pending attack. Well Time passed and we noticed the NVA were moving there forces and decided it was time to move. We jumped into the sytem the NVA were holding and warped strait the the gate they held. TO our suprise when half the force got to the gate we noticed the nva poping all around us. Over team speak I remember hearing Its a trap holy crap its a trap. The next thing I remember is the rest of the Biomass & friends comming in the nick of time. We sat there with a total of 15 bs and 2 crusers and held wave after wave of NVA attack. My estimation of battle time must have been at lease 13 mins. At the end of the battle all that was left standing was Biomass and friends. Well i was expecting to start hearing our losses but only 2 reports came in as losses we had one other near loss but he managed to get himself out.
Well id hate to go one about the party we had in venal afterward but as you guys probly allrdy guess we had our way with them for about another hour and a half and decided it was time to head home.

Dear Evolution,
Listen if you want to play ball im sure we can add you to the roster if you like .. So far you havnt gotton our attention but that can change with a slip of the tung. Know your role !
How does that go again Oh!
Love & Peace!

Yeah dontious is correct with how it went down. We was waiting for the NVA to move, they moved for some reason, we then moved to the system they was holding up in, some of our members was at the gate, when they said bogies, the rest of BIO/SI and NVA warped in at the same time. We lost one scorp early in the fight, then NVA started to take heavy losses, not sure of exact numbers but I think its around 10-13 BS and a number of cruisers. SI also reports a lose of a BlackBird, I must say, was a HUGE fight and I had a blast. Laters.

"Good show" last night to the invading forces. I was impressed at your patients. Staring at 2 red dots on the map for almost 3 hours was how I spent most of my night too. However, as gang leader of the NVA fleet last night, I place as much credit to your victory on a poor tactical move by myself as much as your daring move to rush to our position.
At 4:33GMT I decided to spur your fleet into action by falling back 1 system and then moving right back to the H-PA gate in P-FS. We executed the move out and then turned around for the trip back in. It appears now that you guys had good intel that we were moving and decided to rush us? (don't tell me it was the map) But your speedy advance 2 systems to our defensable position was either a) stroke of genious timing and execution, or b) stroke of incredible luck. Either way, what you got was our fleet coming to your position in groups 3-5 ships at a time. Perfect for the slaughter, huh? The ships that "popped-up" at the H-PA gate were those that had logged for various reasons durring the 3 hour wait (CCP fix the log bug!). I am assuming that these were the first ships to die. The rest is history.
In hindsight, it was a poor decision on my part to make the first move. If we had kept our position, who knows how long we would have sat there looking at the map? If we had moved faster, we might have been back to the gate before you got there and this would be a different thread ATM. Ultimately, the decision was mine, and I take responsibilty for it. In hindsight, it was a poor decision that I regret. |

End of the day you have acted with honour and honesty Halseth in being the kind of Commander who takes responsibility for your decisions.
Ships and ordinance are just consumables;
Faith and integrity and camarderie are things beyond value.
You retain my confidence, and the confidence that this battle will not be the end of the NVA.
