Prinzzess Jane of TPAR-G
ôTo Ascendant Frontier's High Command, this is the Warship æASCN Prinzzess JaneÆ, we are in mortal danger, this is a distress call!ö The Message was repeated over and over, yet only static greeted them back.
Not in their wildest dreams had they ever foreseen to be in such an extreme situation, and little did they know that they were just about to jump out of the frying-pan right into the fire. They were just a normal scout ship ûall right. Yet a long tradition of slipping in and out of battles, completely unharmed, had earned the ship the nickname of ôOld Faithfulö. Captain Lowbottom and his crew sure knew how to get out of harms way when the going got tough. Yet somehow they managed to venture a little too far this time. The entire ASCN Fleet, the jewel of this quadrant, had been completely annihilated by what appeared to be hundreds of enemy warships. The sight of the the black BoB ships was still sending chills down their collective backs. How was that possible? Why did the invasion plan go so wrong? Where was the beloved leader and his Elite Troops when they were needed? His resistance speeches were still fresh in their memories.
The ship's captain had to be moved to sickbay for a serious case of nervous-induced diarrhea; the first officer ûdeath; the science officer ûin a state of coma, permanently injured during the second attack wave; all other senior officers bunkered in the conference room to hide the fact that they too were completely clueless, awaiting the final death blow. The blow of mercy.
Ensign Mahoney of the Royal Engineers Corp found himself suddenly as the highest-ranking crewmember at the bridge. As he was trying to make sense of the displays of the remaining monitors, he could see ùthrough the Viewpointùwhat appeared to be the still functioning remains of an outer grid defense station. The only friendly energy signs they could pick up emanated from that station ahead. ôOdd,ö he said out aloud, ôhow odd that this structure still emits energy, for all surrounding generator coils were obviously blasted to pieces, at least I can see none...ö ôMr. Charles,ö he shouted to his left, ôcan you remove that panel obstructing the port window and see if you can make out any energy generators on the port side?ö ôUmm.. Yes..., ô mumbled Charles ôyes of course, wait a moment please.ö The panel came down with a loud bang, a somehow welcome interruption to the previous eerie silence on the ship.
ôMahoney... Mahoney...ö the Ensign heard a voice from behind his back. He turned around and saw a man, completely covered in black dust and a blood stained forehead. ôWe lost all main power ö, the apparition spoke again, ôonly I made it out alive à from the engine room à we are running completely on auxiliary power.ö So that explained the explosion they had heard an hour before. ôElias?ö Mahoney slowly said to the newcomer, ôis that you? ûCome over here. Sit down.ö He would have run over to help Elias his friend, but he had all hands full and Charle's voice broke his concentration.
ôNo generators on port side,ö interrupted CharlesÆs voice.
Mahoney suddenly understood... for there was only one possible explanationà this was a trap, a decoyà they had to act immediately. ôWhere are the keys to the hyper jump drive?ö Mahoney asked. ôI carry one Sir,ö the helmsman said, a plumb man with a thorn and scorched uniform, holding the key up. ôGive it to me right now, we need to hyper jump right away,ö commanded Mahoney. ôBut Sir,ö the helmsman objected, ôyou are not authorized to do that! Junior officers have been punished for lesser infractions. You need an authorization.ö

(Part 2 of 2)
ôThen I suggest you go and get one, for I am jumping this ship now, there is no time to meddle around. We are at war for Heavens sake!ö Mahoney grabbed the key out of the helmsman cramped hands and rammed it into the hyper jump panel slot. It turn with difficulty, he had to apply all his strength.
The general catatonic state on the ship was roughly shaken awake by a slight barrage of enemy fire. ôAttention! All hands to battle stations, we are being attackedö CharlesÆs futile instructions could be heard over the remaining intercoms. ôThis is a trap! We need to get out of here immediately. We have no defenses left you idiot!ö Mahoney shouted. Suddenly the crew came alive under the lead of the new captain in lieu.
The Hyper jump drive engaged at the very last second, as the hulls of the BoB Battleships could already be seen approaching. They were at arms length. The engines roared in protest as if resenting the stress, yet once again Old Faithful stood true to it's name.
This was later to be registered in the history books as the day the only ASCN ship ever to come out alive of the TPAR-G system was saved, single-handedly, by one Ensign Mahoney, Royal Engineer.

This kind of useless, pointless propaganda doesn't belong in this forum.
I used to be a BoB member, and believe me I never thought I would say this, but you're acting like a bunch of lunitics.
Nobody wants to hear this propaganda in this forum.

Your killboard sais otherwise, even though your killboard sais 40 kills today. That still isn't an entire fleet u destroyed, not counting that those kills are spreid over alot of hours.

Ever heard of "discussion of ingame politics, conflicts, and other matters regarding player corporations, alliances and organizations in EVE" going in the Corporation, Alliance and Organization Discussions discussions.
I'm sure if you make some "fiction" about Tony Blair killing off half the world nobody will accept it as "just fiction."

Propoganda and flamebait.
I can't believe the Mods actually moved this into the alliance Forum.

I'm all for ASCN getting a whipping after flashing their e-peen, but this is just retarded.

The read was very good. The original posting place was very bad. The BoB propaganda lately sucks and has started to get old. The ASCN silence... well don't know with that, think they are scared. So... good read.

Now some you people are funny :)
The story is to celebrate the heroic act of Ensign Mahoney, not only did he save the ASCN Prinzzess Jane but also all surviving crew members aboard the vessel!
And instead of honoring this hero you are nitpicking about grammar :)
Of course my grammar is not the best, English being my 3rd language and I did not really run the story through the censor... err.. I mean the spellchecker. I myself see now some small grammar issues that could be fixed.
Now I wish to see you toss around big words when trying to survive a BoB Assault. You would probably also have all hands full coping with your biggest inner fears and plain simply just staying alive.
Shame on you! :)
Long live Ensign Mahoney! For heroism beyond the call of duty. Long live Ascendant Frontier! For staging an invasion. Long live CYV... err... ok lets not exaggerate.

Yes, but you wrote it in a partonising manner.
You could have equally written it from the BoB point of viewl that despite heavy losses on the ASCN side, some ships still managed to jump to safety.
But you didn't, did you?
