Just my 0.02c
My char. is male, and he flirts with most of the female chars. he runs across. What gender the person behind the character might happen to be is irrelevant, because it's not ME doing the flirting, it's Baldour.
If more people could be bothered to look up the definiton of "role playing", this whole question would never arise. I guess it's far too much to ask that the general population show some vague semblance of intelligence, though

Sorry How would a woman (RL) playing a woman character play the game in any given situation that differently from a man(RL) playing a woman ? (unless the man start talking about how he fancy's bird-X and wants to give her a right good rog...ing (however i really mean in gameplay not convo's)
Because its a game it doesn't have the same boundries or social rules we have to apply to ok so in a pub a man might shout about a fart and woman might try to hide the fact she did it because of the social rules or society but in a game, would her character care or have to hide it ? but being a man what the hell would i know... about it...
I would like to know though if the women think they play the game differently to men and how so...

The main difference I have seen is the men usually want to be the highest level fast as possible, min/max, take advantage of everything possible style of players. I am speaking for myself personally here, but I play the game to have fun, enjoy doing whatever I decide to do at the moment, and converse with different people from different places. Some nights its more fun to just chat then it is to play, some nights I would prefer to not say anything at all and just do what I logged in to do. I often find myself being helped by guys when it comes to questions I have that pertain to parts of the game I admittedly donĘt understand which is great. I also do my part in answering questions about other things they donĘt understand and I do. So to answer your question yes I think the style of play is different but complementary to each other in most cases.

2 days ago I talked to a miner in the system for a bit, we mostly talked about rl thinsg and have some girls are just fishing for compliments.
He asked me if I was a girl, and I told him the thruth.We chatted some more, and last night he gave me a gift.
A blackbird, because I like them soo much. 
I also like people, but i dont go around sending them isk or ships. So I'm curious why he gave me that ship, yet I have a feeling I dont want to know the real reason.

Its currently not advised for me to gank him, political.
Its very ackward, on the one hand you want to believe its just a friendly thing, on the other I bloody hell know why and find it disturbing.
But this kind of attention is also the reason why I have no yet posted pictures of moi on SI forums. It makes things ackward.
And I think girls who go out and beg for gifts and modules aren't gamers, its sad if you find pride in being some weird escort girl.
If I gave this miner my 8 harvesters for free, will it give the wrong suggestion?

You can never know what sex someone is even if they did post a picture. Then even if you did know if you have to give something to anybody to get them to like you thats very sad. I mean I've given stuff to people in EVE i don't want to know what sex they are in RL because it gets weird after that.

I must admit I have seen some bizzare things happen. I'n a previous Online clan which I was forum mod for we had a 'post your pic' section which everyone did. Didnt seem to be much harm in it at the time. Then one of our female members poster her pic. Cue various carry-on film stlye 'cooors' and 'woof-woofs' from the lads which she didn't seem to mind.
It was only when someone later discovered that the pics where not of her but in fact of some supermodel (cant remember who now) that it went pear-shaped. People took the p*ss - she quit the clan, after one of the council received a bitter but depressing e-mail.
So yeah - it can be a dangerous cyber world.

Hi, this is my first time posting to any of the forums, so be kind.
I am female, 100%, all the time, in Eve and out of it. Before 3 months ago, I had never heard of the game, but love computers and especially am intrigued by graphics, the more the better. I happened to be watching over someone's shoulder one day when they were playing the game, and decided I had to have a go at it.
Went out and bought a new computer that could handle it, the software, and have been happily mining, buying, selling, and npc killing ever since.
I am pretty much an open book so if anyone wants to convo me in game, feel free. If I like you, we will talk, if I don't, we won't.

All I gotta say is: If you're a guy and you choose to play a female avatar, don't be offended when I refer to you using feminine pronouns like "she" or "her." Even if I know you're a guy, I think of you as being your character. I know a few female characters who are played by males, and no matter how often they or their corpmates object, those characters are always going to be fems in-game as far as I'm concerned. If you don't want me saying "she" in reference to your character, choose a male avater.
Of course, I enjoy the RP aspect of the game. I may despise your character with a passion that moves me to haunt your every waking breath in the game, and then buy you a beer in RL. It's all part of the game. The problem is the players who have no grasp of RP, and are too focused on the RL social interaction they wish was in the game.
