And you are not honest if you say it's crap. The person posting right after you showed what great dps it already has. That dps goes with heavy missiles which are more precise then high precision cruises. In addition to that the nighthawks resistances and passive tanking abilities are enormous and infinite, compared to a raven for example, giving it the ability to use high dmg missiles (which a raven pilot cant do with its active tank) and being immune against nosferatus. Well there are some more advantages that shows that the nighthawk is far away from being "a pile of crap". It's a dangerous beast which will be even more powerful and will make a raven look even more bad in pvp. Don't you think i am allowed to post my concerns about this ? It's my constitutional right to express my oppinion. Please don't offend me becaus of that.
Firstly, there is no 'Constitution' that declares any rights on these forums... aside from the forum rules. Yes, you are more than welcome to state your opinions... but they are just that... opinions. You offered no numbers, no facts, and nothing at all remotely substantial. You offered no evidence to back up your 'opinions'. Your opinion is that the Nighthawk is awesome.... all evidence is to the contrary. Many of us who fly the ship with a bit of regularity know this to be true.
Also, Rox posted numbers showing Nighthawk DPS before and after the changes. If you'd take a moment to read the notes in her post you'd realize how utterly poor the Nighthawk is BEFORE the changes... and it's still very mediocre after the changes.
Every concern you have regarding the Nighthawk stated in your lastest response has already existed in the form of all the other Field Command Ships. They all tank as well as the Nighthawk... and all of them provide far more DPS. So why are you not posting about how unbalanced those ships have been all these months?

well offcause we should respect that you have you'r opinien like we all want to when we state our opinien,,, however friend i think you choiced a hot time and hot place too share your opinien with us,,,,
let me explaine: the nighthawk as it is now and from when the commandships came has been lacking greatly compared to its 3 counter parts (absolution/astarte/slepnir) and not just being alittle less good,,, but to almopst being unuseble !,,,, here are some facts: the nighthawk has at most 80-90% of dps than our hac does !,,,, let me refresh your memmory on the 3 other races hac/commandships: the astarte/absolution/slepnir all have 20%+ more dps than their hac version ! and the caldari hac has less dps than the 3 others hacs which in it self is okay because of the range thing !. soo you see the nighthawk as it is now, is nothing but a bigger Cerberus with lower dps,, soo theirs really no point in training for one sence its not better than the hac. again you are free to have your opinien offcause. again your timing of sharing it was not good,,, the caldari ppl who has been crying over our not useble commandship for a long time finally gets news about it to be helped to become useble !
and thats why ppl will flame at you, when making that kind of opiniens now ) |

Tovarishch is better to ignore the ignorant, he could ve jsut read my post were a;; the stats are there, instead he claims that the nighthawk is powerfull, i my self soloed a raven with it in low sec while under heavy fire from gate guns, the guy was 9 months old in eve.
and i managed to break my friends tanked who is 3 years old in eve, in his t2 raven.
Nighthawk wasnt bad it just needed to be as good as the other command ships, not a destroyer.

The onsite calculator uses pre-boost heavy missile DPS, among other things, so those numbers are of by like, 20-25% or something?

keepiru, that damage output is sad only in comparison to short range turrets. If you compare it to a suitable long range turret with suitable ammunition, such as an Astarte with 250mm Railgun IIs with Lead loaded, we have the Nighthawk outdamaging the Astarte by 25.76% with ranges more or less comparable (it takes the missile 6 seconds to reach the Astarte's optimal range)
Additional analysis tell that the Nighthawk will start out damaging the Astarte when the Astarte has loaded Uranium (third most damaging ammo), while it has an optimal range of 27km with a fall off of 18km. It takes a Nighthawk's missiles 5 seconds to reach a comparable range.
I do not think you could call this damage output bad in any way - what one can rightfully complain about is how long it takes missiles to reach their target. I'd love to see a doubled velocity and a halved flight time.
It seems like Roxanne has fixed the damage discrepancy, I can find nothing wrong with the damage levels.

To give some perspective to things.
-Command ships lvl 4
Target 1.5 mil Angel BS
ship: Nitghhawk + 6 arbalest heavy launchers with exp missiles, 4 x bcu 2 !!! + 3 t2 exp drones (2 med , 1 light)
Takes allmost full load of missiles from all launchers to finally brake the tank.(skills not at 5 but quite high)
same target
ship: Astarte with 7 x Neutron blaster 2's antimater ammo 3 x magstab 2 + no drones
med blaster spec lvl 4, not maxed skills on guns ROF skill lvl 4
takes 1 minute to pop the 1.5 angel BS
so Astarte basically kills the rat in 1/5th , 1/4th of the time vs NH atm.
there is some perspective to you how crappy the Nh dmg output atm is.
With the 25% rof bonus now it can actually kill something. But its still far from a threath to most Battleships while using heavy missiles.
