Out of interest, am i the only person who has 1 char and no alts and i dont mean scouting alts but alts that people train.
Am i 1 in 40k or is there more out there like me.
My reason for not having alts is not because i can't afford it but because i want to experiance the game with the 1 charactor even if it is slower.I dont need an advanage of alts to win at pvp or isk, it makes me alot more satisfied knowing i dont need or have to win with alts
But am i the only one?
Oh and this is not an attack on people who have alts

Only one character here. I may have to change that at some point if it starts feeling really gimpy, but I hope not.
I don't even like the idea of using scout alts. We'll see how many ship explosions it takes to change my opinion.

If you only run one account then having alts is a bit of a strain on the training process as you can only do one at a time so yeah I'd agree that there are probably more out there than you'd think.. But then again making a simple alt that can use a hauler after creation to price check and shop in empire is nice if you go to the dark side and get negative sec status..
Kudos to you though for RPing it and only using one charecter.. 
( I'm not one of them BTW.. *Pets his three accounts.. )

sorry, but more than one char, here - one of the things i love most about EVE is the lack of limitations placed on the characters but not being the most patient guy in the world, i like to experience things without having to wait - so, i have one char (this one) that's pretty much all combat, then i have another alt that's pretty much all industry.

I have two accounts. But I don't use alts for scouting or anything like that.
1pvp character and 1 industrial character. All my other slots are filled with pointless alts made just to mess around with possibilities.

I decided after paying for 2 accounts in DAoC for so long I would only ever run 1 character in eve. It's not much to pay for a 2nd account but it all adds up when your saving for a deposit on a house.

I only had 1 for the longest time and I liked it that way but got a character from a friend who was elaving and it has made the game a bit more fun in many ways but I am a ceo of a corp and it does help to be able to be a few places at once, I now have 3 charcters although 1 is just trianing not sure I cna cope with 3 yet though third was an accident my friend who originally controlled my alt I transferred it back to him but within 24 hours his GF had banned him from eve again so he give me it back but in mean time got that lonely with just having one again bought another character.
so anyway to sum up 1 character is good but 2 does let you play in a new ways you could'nt before not saying its betetr with 2 just differnt.

i did create one when they came out with new bloodlines and actually had that character up until a week ago when i deleted it.
as of now, flummox is the only character on this account...

I come from a game where having 2 chars is 'illegal' (starport - starportgame.com, read up on the warp fuel. )
therefore, i feel the same about 2 chars in eve.
end for me :P

I *effectively* have no alts. I have a 300k SP battlecruiser pilot I made originally, but I only wake him up about once every other month. I don't even remember where I left him...
Having that 300k non-alt is handy when the other char is training up learning skills while you're running L2 missions -- gives you something to do!

Just me here. 
I did play with the idea to make an auxillary corporation and combat alt, but I didn't renew the second account, so just one month of training there... I don't know what will become of that. It was a couple months ago.

I tried playing with multiple characters for a while, but I didn't really enjoy it, and found it hard to keep two different character concepts in my head, so I went back to just having one character. |

1 character here, as well. I often perform Leroy Jenkins manuevers by jumping into systems with no scout since, well, I have no alts to scout.

I have one main I play on, who does a bit of everything; iI do have an alt, but he's just a banker who stockpiles some of my ISK so I don't spend it all on my skillbook habit.
