Had 1 character there for like 3 years. I just can't get around to using an alt, it feels cheap and lazy, almost like some kind of exploit. I actually own another acct, but it just sits there inactive. I train long skills so I don't have to bother logging in. And I'm not gonna sell the second acct, because 1) I dont need the money 2) I don't believe in buying isk. The subscription runs out in a couple weeks after that I doubt I will ever use that second acct.

There should be game mechs which allow you to scan the system next door or whatever. However the pvper mostly flies a freighter these days, I didn't really notice on my first account what a pain in the rear it is to train all those little things like engineering, mechanic, electronics etc. My third was a second industrialist for an indie corp I founded that floundered, I keep him around because of invention. He was originally created for checking foreign trade markets but I only used him about 5 times before I realised it was easier to simply ask in corp chat. I've just never got around to deleting him. He's over a year old now. He must be one bored Brutor.

I think I get a richer experience out of it, even though getting good in more than one field will take time. I started off with trade, industry and science for manufacturing and R&D. Now I'm bitten by the PVP bug, and am training combat skills now. PVP'ng when you originally are a manufacturer do make the count of lost ships rather high But, It's improving and at least I know how to build a new ship! -- Vivian: You go too far, Marlowe. Luke Pubcrawler	Posted - 2006.10.12 10:19:00 - [56] Personally I don't like alts, at least as they are commonly used, they strike me as little more than an exploit. (I know they are not one before some of the usual trolls leap on my use of the word) but they serve as a way to get around game mechanics - war decs, gate camps etc in an artificial manner. Therefore I am flying without any. If a player chooses to have 2 characters in the same corp and play them as that is a different matter, but the expendable npc stooge that most are does not appeal. I do have 2 accounts and asecond main. the 2 characters have nothing to do with each other. The second one is for when a fancy a different playstyle and change of pace. he spends most of his time docked and training only coming out when I want a change from my principle character.
