My character Character age is 2 yrs. I got 24mil sp's
It is extreamly important that you heed this warning that this
message has in it. The reason that My account was banned is
simple. I failed to heed the warning from ANDER who has been
playing this game since beta days.... I got banned because I got
lazy nad had made the poor decision to buy isk. Buying is is not
in the EULA but it does create a serious grey area that needs to
be addressed. I was banned under the EULA portion that governs
hacking. If you read that section it has a area in it refering to
macos. Althought I did not ever use a macro nor would I. It was
the fact that I had purchased isk from an off game website that
uses macros to mine and convert in to isk for the purpose of
making real money. Since I was doing something that supported
and encouraged the use of macros thru my poor decision of
buying isk. I was ultimatly banned from the game. This would have
been a permant ban under most cases. I had to do some
serious talking to get this account back. DO NOT PUT YOUSELF
THRU THIS THE HEADACHE AND MENTAL ANGUISHIS IS NOT WORTH IT. If
you need isk mine it or hunt for it. or any other in game method.
The decision is yours.. You might not be as luck. For those that think CCP has turned a blind eye to macros. you are all sadly mistaken.
I thank the GM's for allowing me the oportunity to reamin with this game.

correction m8....i was an isk buyer and I only bought it one time......im reformed now.
yes i do want it to be a sticky. If it keeps other people frome risking thier accounts for doing something stupid. then it is worth it.

Don't tell me. You're the trifling-ass noob that bought in-game currency on an MMO, which is against the EULA in every popular MMO out there save for something created by Sony. Your post lacks any coherency, other than the fact that you got a temp-ban for buying ISK for real money.

This has nothing to do with macros, and while your intentions may be noble, they won't do any good. Players don't buy isk because it's against the EULA - not because you posted in the forums, players who do won't give a damn what you say.

The difference being that EVE is one of the very few games that actually enforces said part of the EULA in anything more than a "oh, if the facts jump out at us we'll ban" way. The fact its against the EULA in most other games is completely irrelevant - so its a fairly easy mistake to make coming to EVE from another mmo. Granted he said he's 2 years old so I dunno wtf he did with his brain :X

fuk WOW. the ban was permant it was only lifted for the simple reason that i did not deny what I did. And I have not had any issues that indicated i was a problem customer.

to the OP: you were a retard, you got banned, you got back and now you are reformed. Spiffy. But you need to know that most people in these MMO games see people like you as a scourge. And they aren't going to be nice to you.
To the rest of you guys: STFU asshats. The guy is trying to do the right thing after having made a stupid mistake. The dark side is strong sometimes, and you twits are hardly on the high ground.
I think it's great that he posted this here. It lets people know that CCP is serious about clamping down on isk sellers/buyers and it also lets some players that read this think twice before dropping money on illegal ISK.

To the OP: you are a lucky sob, a buddy of mine got busted buying isk, he was not able to get his character back & had to start over, now he's a noob. Personally though, I don't give a rats ass if people buy isk, but it is celarly against the rules & you should not have gotten your character back.

well ill be first in saying thanks cleann. Although i personally wouldnt buy isk online, there are some outthere who may take that road, and it shows that there is some good people in the community who dont flame at every oportunity, disagree with every opinion, and so on. TBH, I think you're not allowed to discuss this, but I'm no mod, so that's none of my business in the end.
I'd just like to say that for all the whining on the forums about CCP never banning anyone, it's good to see a real example of it happening. It took some balls to come out and make this post, whatever anyone says. And hopefully it'll do some good. Might make a few people think twice before risking their accounts.

Thank you M8. I had to do a hell of alot of fighting to get this character back. Enough fighting that I went to bed with headaches because I was trying to convince ccp to let me back. Anything you want badly enough is worth fighting for. I was seriously pi ss ed (i dont like stars substituting my words thank you...)at my self for causing myself to get banned for something stupid like isk buying.

like in real life real criminels sometimes tell young ppl to to not make the same mistake they did so the young ppl don't end up in the same "prison" situation that they are in now !......
this is kinda the same..... it's actually the same ! notthing personel Mr.cleann (Mr.derty) but you didt something complete immoral and should have costed you a permanent bann !
the fact that the GM's was too soft and let you in again,,, is just you'r luck... I adwise you too think about this everytime you lock into EVE and brace youself lucky as hell.

He did'nt do "something complete immoral" and people doing this are not "criminels". He used poor judgement & broke a rule in a video game.
