Let the Empires protect their OWN SPACE!! Remove CONCORD!!! It would be much better and much easier... Like if u were a Amarrian u would like to kill Minmatar Navy becouse then u would get higher faction standing with the Amarr... But u cant do that becouse of CONCORD that comes in with their UBER Weapons and UBER Ships!!! Let the Minmatar Navy protect themself, not the Stupid CONCORD!!! WE DONT NEED CONCORD!!!!

Yes we do because other wise people would start killing each other...
CONCORD are there to maintain peace and tranquility between the empires...

the Empires Navy should be the police of their own systems!!! Remove CONCORD from all systems except 1.0 and rename CONCORD to "n00b protectors"!

Edited by: mingster on 30/10/2003 15:33:51 I agree remove concord from all but 1.0 or 0.9 let the 4 main highways remain 1.0. Let the no0b starting points remain 1.0.
Don't rely on concord to protect your flabby asses (an they will get flabby siting on em all day just mining afk or never taking a risk.)
Band together, use your wits check local, avoid blocades or dont go through them. Take risks! Have fun!
U wanna just trade safely u can stay in the 4 main highway areas doubt you go very far from them anyway if your selling warez.
U wanna mine safely then u got 1.0 and 0.9 you dont need half of the goddam universe to mine a few crappy scordite or plag roids.
Give us back some options remove sentry guns from gates from 0.4 down. I can't even chase after a pirate in 0.1 - 0.4 as he knows the sentries at stations or gates will protect him.
I'm not a pirate btw but wiould like to be able to find/kill them given the chance which atm is nigh on impossible.

Another dumb idea from a day filled with dumb ideas. You already complain about people cramming into Empire space for Concord protection (yes, there are some people in game who don't want to pvp all day long) so removing Concord from < 0.9 would just cram more people into the existing 1.0 and 0.9 systems as they aren't likely to want to travel outside the uber n00b systems in this case.
You didn't think about this too hard did you?

does a person in empire controlled space who likes mining or just pottering around seeing the sights or interacting with other like minded peeps even mining just to manufacture low end items and have no intention of getting into pvp until they feel confident because its not their thing not have the right to have concord protection......these peeps are not as most think into single player gaming they are interacting with a great many players in the eve universe. please dont think everyone is afk mining because they arent a great many players do not play for hours on end and this for them is what they can do in game in the time they have. in many months they mave have amassed enough isk to feel brave enough to venture further afield but until then why shouldnt they be allowed to feel secure in the knowledge concord is there to look after them

OMG, i can hear the scream of thousands of carebears crying out at once and then silenced.
The powers that be (devs) would never hear the end of it if CONCORD went on strike.
Would be a fun event though |

Someone isn't bothering to read the storylines.
CONCORD are the peacekeepers, and it's their responsibility to maintain order by stamping on anyone who starts shooting, *precisely because* Amarrians want to beat up on the Minmatar Navy, vice versa, and so on. They're there to stop that from happening, so that the Empires don't wind up at war with each other.
We've had umpteen centuries of war, and it didn't do anybody any good. We're now at peace, and the galactic economy is vastly stronger than it ever was under times of war. So why in space would they decide to remove the one and only factor that keeps it that way?

Read my post again, i suggested to remove CONCORD from < 0.9 and let the Empires Navy act as CONCORD!!! The Empires Navy's is not UBER like CONCORD and will make it possible for Amarrians to destroy Minmatar's Navy without interfering from CONCORD, of course, it would be very difficult to attack the Navy but the idea makes it a bit more possible...

Quote: ...For the first few decades of its existence CONCORD wielded very limited power, but in recent years their authority has grown alongside that of inter-stellar trade, which is becoming more important by the day throughout the world of EVE. The growing power of CONCORD has caused some concern within the empires and many are becoming alarmed by CONCORDÆs attempts to insert its autonomy in areas hitherto regarded as internal affairs of the empires...
...The empires havenÆt been bothered to interfere with this development as, on the whole, CONCORD is doing its job very well and there have been no major cases of abused power. But many fear that this may change one day.
You are right. Concord should get out of empire space. But that isn't a bug, or a game design flaw. It is part of the story line.

As much as I'd like to see an inter-empire war, I'm afraid we'd be nothing more than spectators. Or cannon fodder in some event with GMs/Polaris flying battleships 'leading' the charge/slaughter.
Even limited to a frigate, most of the advanced players can utterly******the people they're most likely to encounter. Minmatar vs Amarr would mean no holds barred, nobody protected slaughter. Miners, haulers and new players would be the first casualties, especially the miners and haulers. Remove the resource gatherers and make resupply impossible. Newbies just for body counts (psychological manipulation to end the war at any means necessary).
While I'm always up for a good couple days of pure chaos, mayhem and destruction the likelihood of CCP starting the Armageddon Clock during release is extremely, highly unlikely.
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann
