Hey guys. I've been watching a few vids and I'm quite confused on a certain topic, regarding freighter convoys. Why didn't alliances who have done these use JFs instead? Is it too ISK intensive? Were JFs non-existant? I feel that I'm missing something. I'm mainly referring to RnK's 'Got Freighter?' vid, as well as 'Brave Newbies getting a freighter into lowsec'. Thanks o7 |

Thanks o7 Don't know the videos. But alliances usually use JFs for their logistics into null sec. A normals freighter convoy would indeed be far too dangerous. But there are a few things that don't fit into JFs and need a freighter. IHUBS for example. |

Freighter convoys were pretty common before JF's existed and before titans became commonplace.
These days most alliances titan bridge their freighters around if they need to move something that doesnt fit into a JF (Station eggs, i-hubs, L5 system upgrades. etc)

Though I wish that CCP would put challenge like that when it comes to lugging stuff around in Null, because it would be very challenging. |

Shockingly, the safest way to move your freighters around isn't to draw attention to it by calling an escort op.
Post on the Eve-o forums with a Goonswarm Federation character that drinking bleach is bad for you, and 20 forum warriors will hospitalise themselves trying to prove you wrong.

I am certain that Space AIDSGäó is the first step in returning to WW2 style convoys of freighters. I'm certain that if Greyscale still worked for CCP that we'd see the end of Jump Freighters and Jump Bridges by the end of 2015. |
