Looking forward to it!
I'm going to do a "warm up" race on Friday, hosted by EVE-Radio (see news on the home page). Signup deadline there is Thursday.

Edited by: Malcom Carswell on 12/12/2006 12:21:21 Dang Hal, I'd love to be in the warm-up, but the scheduled time is right in the middle of my workday. Too bad I'm not one of the fortunate few who can race at work . Catch ya'll on Saturday though in Sinq Laison.

Race Results: Sinq Laison Sinq Laison served the center stage for the third rage of the season as well as an experiment in track design. As one can see from the finish times, the race itself has been reduced in length considerably with less downtime between waypoints yet plenty of opportunity for chaos with the increased quantity of waypoints. Fortunately the Serpentis and local rats seemed to be lathargic and sensor malfunctions were kept to a minimum and no casualties were recorded.
Kudos to everyone who finished this clean race, and we hope to see everyone in two weeks!

Just a bit of feedback to the new track design - I honestly felt throughout the race that it has just started and I was doing just a few warm-up jumps.
But maybe this can attributed to a growing headache on my end as well as the lesser number of racers compared to the first two races.
I definitely liked the previous designs better with maybe less waypoints but longer stretches between waypoints.

Well, if I had the option to put them in a Vigil instead, I might be interested.
Looking forward to the next race, whenever that is - I suppose it must be on December 30th, all being well. I've missed the last two races, but with Owi's departure I may still have a chance. A small chance. --------------------------------------------

Race Results: Everyshore Saturday's race was held in the Everyshore region, a rather quiet region of Federation space with an ample CONCORD presence. However, that didn't stop the Serpentis from ravaging our racer's hulls or the locals from sending some friendly warnings about future incursions into their space ("Roger, next time please let us know. I was already on my way fitting smarties."). Despite all this no racer lost their ship. Overall there was only one issue with a phantom waypoint that mysteriously disappeared from the scanners at Torvi, and after further investigation concluded there may have been some kind of subspace anomaly that affected the pilot's scanners as the container itself showed no signs of tampering.
Congratulations to everyone who finished, and we hope to see everyone in two weeks!
Start: Ethernity VI - Moon 17 Egonics Development Studios 1. Azer - Planet I 2. Gerper VI - Asteroid Belt 3 3. Mya I - Asteroid Belt 1 4. Torvi V - Moon 1 5. Elarel - Ultra! Premier 6. Mannar VII - Ice Field 2 7. Mormelot VII - Asteroid Belt 3 8. Angatalie XI - Asteroid Belt 1 9. Groothese - Olide Stargate 10. Alachene VI - Ice Field 1 End: Bereye VI - Federal Intelligence Office Assembly Plant
Race Results 1 - Hal Seldon [TRACE] - Vigil (00:41:33) 2 - Kayleigh Jamieson [DS] - Rifter (00:42:28) 3 - Loras Forsythe [ENDL] - Vigil (00:43:30) 4 - Scavanger [DS] - Vigil (00:43:44) 5 - Mes Ren [IDAMA] - Executioner (00:47:38) 6 - Malcom Carswell [CHSN] - Executioner (00:47:46) 7 - Sasha Contovis [E-UNI] - Executioner (00:48:22) 8 - Taco Smakbez [DS] - Executioner(00:48:50) 9 - Kanunu [E-UNI] - Rifter (00:50:30)

Thanks for the great race, I really look forward to these events every two weeks. I did notice a slight error in the previous races reporting. Kanunu is listed as a E-Uni pilot, and while we would love to adopt him into the University I believe he was actually racing for the Dragonstar race team. Look forward to seeing you all in two weeks.

Basic racing setup is straghtforward: fastest frig possible, MWD in mid, inertia stabs / nano in lows and a few SP in Navigation.
Cap Battery in mid helps long warp jumps, everything else is optional - just pick something useful to fill the grid / cpu left.
You could try practicing the race courses listed here to get an idea on your times (add 1-2 min for each waypoint it takes to open the BM can).
Happy racing!

Depending on the warp distances encountered, it's probably worth fitting one or two rigs that increase warp speed - 3 of them get you going at 10.368au/s rather than the usual 6 for a t1 frig. ------
So you're lagged out in Motsu/Saila/Aramachi, but you want that CNR? Do missions for another corp! |

Thanks for the basics and pointing out the obvious testing the tracks that have already been run(man I'm thick headed sometimes).I really should have thought of that.
