The outage some players experienced was not the DT being moved forward it was due to a network failure with one of the ISP's, this was out of CCP's hands and there is nothing they can do about it, also as i understand it there isn't a patch this is mearly added hardware nothing more :)

The problem earlier was with an internet backbone and not with CCP. There was nothing they could do other than delay their schedule an hour and give people more time to log in and change their skills.
Doh, one minute too slow...

I got up at 8:30 Eve time and changed skills just fine. The server was briefly down this morning before the allotted time.
I got my skill training :p Win.
Hope its all going well CCP... how does this work? You whip your maintainance guys for 24 hours, and they go without sleep?

Now onto your changing from a long skill to a shorter skill. All I can say is dee dee dee, this leads back to planning ahead.
Now lets talk about what skill i have training right now. You said you wanted to bet. But Im thinking you would never pay up anyways so the point would be mute. I will tell you Im not losing Sp right now
Now lets cover your trolling comment. Just because you dont like the way i think or the fact that i posted away around not losing training time does not make me a troll unlike some people who lack Inspiration when it comes to naming there toons.

Like a couple of others, I'd like to comment on the selection of November 1st for this.
It's a public holiday in a fairly large chunk of Europe - Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland.
Perhaps CCCP had over-riding business reasons to choose this date, if not for future reference try this link :

Now to ask the impossible  , is there any chance that CCP not have a downtime today after the extended downtime, seems a waste of time for Tranquility to be up for 1 hour then shut down again
Otherwise I guess i will just have to put up with it.

Just got home from work. Did the hardware get installed OK? I am just setting at logg in "status unkown".
Is it up for everyone but me? Or is it off line for US?

Well things seemed laggy last night so I just went ahead and started a long skill. Seemed like the best thing to do, now I'm glad I did.
Just a guess, but Wednesday gives them some time to tinker with changes before the weekend when there are more player online. Noone wants to go to work on a Monday and tackle a project like this. And really, the sooner the better right, why delay for a holiday if they're not taking it off.
I have to agree with the comment about adding voice communication to the game, I would think that it would only put more strain on the hardware, software, and connections. When most people already use Vent or TS why add this function when things are still not working properly and time could be devoted to fixing them?
I guess if one was to think like that then the next expansion may never come.
It would be nice to know how things are going, if you have all hands working 12 or 16 hour shifts to get this done. If everything is going as scheduled. If the delayed downtime today is going to delay the startup tomorrow.

Good luck with the upgrades! I hope this reduces the lag that I havent ever noticed. Good luck with impatience whiners too, too bad you cant upgrade those.

Thanks for the extra time lst night guys. It really helped to wrap a few things up and set skills after the network drop kept us off for a while.
