The picture shows him upright, eyes open, no vomit on the shirt, no fresh tattoos in evidence. Hmmmm, that put him about the same level of drunkeness as Paris Hilton and her mates.
Nurse! One fifth of tequila to be taken orally so that he no longer suffers from that terrible affliction!

"I foresee a lot of death and destruction in the future, given that the only source of components for rigs will be dead ships."
So rigs are going to be mounted on a ship, then blown up to produce new rigs out of them? Where do the first rigs come from? They must have been produced out of something else than destroyed ships obviously...
I think there should be some other source for rig components in the game, however complicated it is, to make this more logical.

You are incorrect. Any dead ship, regardless of its fitting, will have a chance of dropping a rig component. A ship with rigs fitted is no more or less likely to drop components than one with no rigs fitted.

Just being pedantic, do you mean only player ships can possibly drop rig parts? Or NPCs too?
If it's only players, I can see huge amounts of gankage/suiciders.

You need to hold it to drink it .
Components will be available from npc's, but player ships will be a better source .

Edited by: Zarta Blastaphart on 22/10/2006 23:41:59 OOOooooOOO Invention .. I'm so freaking excited ..
why don't you guys dream up something else equally mind-numbingly stupid.
Lets see ..
1. T2 BPO owners will still have T2 BPO's <chaching !!>
2. We get to train a bunch of skills
3. We get to run our a**es off all over the universe trying to collect all the goodies necessary to covert a T1 BPO into a T2 BPC of dubius value .. read that, unknown runs, and to quote "very ineffiecient".
4. After all this grief, it may or may not work ..
rinse and repeat ..
meanwhile .. back at the ranch ..
the owners of T2 BPO's still have them and control the majority of the market.
You want to do invention right ? Approach it from a real-world economy stand-point.
1. Joe Blow, buys a product and feels he can improve upon it.
2. He buys, collects, begs borrows or steals all the equipment, tools and materials needed to do so.
3. He begins to reverse engineer and make improvements on the product.
4. Lady Luck and Murphy (Law) has some input ..
5. The final result, he wins, i.e. he gets a BPO with good/excellent characteristics to prodice his product, or he loses, i.e. the BPO is a worhless piece of junk, and the product that can be built from same couldn't be sold to a blind n00b with a wallet full of chinese ISK.
Thats how invention works in the real world.
Think on it. Regards Zarta

I think they did this because they wanted to know how it would work out, and so they heavily pre-nerfed it. Also they didn't want to step on the toe's of current owners, but honestly, they may step on them hard. They have had their time to spoil. I hope CCP will soon un-nerf invention so to create a normal market in T2 items. ------------------------------------------ My signature has been podded... :| |

buy a ship, move it to ss, eject, move another ship etc. then get into somthing with guns and blow all those ships up yourself for rig components. maybe just make it possible to "reprocess for rigs" ships at the station?
