Yeha, i would say probabley one of the best ever episodes of anything made ever on TV. You could have been watching that as a 100 squillion dollar super movie and you couldn't ask better than that.
I been away all weekend, so just got back and watched it and it blew me away completely! 5/5 on the series so far. As some one else said, very few things that make me misty, but BSG just hits the button right on everytime!
Closest thing to perfection as you can get for drama viewing imo.

LoL great song.
Episode 04 was awesome. I love all spacefight-episodes, for a series with not-so-high budget they do a tremendous job on creating action-intense, realistic looking, cool-fx space scenes. When Galactica did the gravity jump, though, it reminded me of the falling whale from Hitchhiker's guide Wanna do that in a dominix one day.
Also when Galactica seemed like going down while battling the basestars, I just knew that Pegasus would jump in, just a moment before it actually did. LoL, guess I know my Adamas...nonetheless I got goosebumps the size of Oveur's pink-wigged head at that scene.

Yup was an awesome episode definitely one of the best but there are so many good ep's The end was one of the saddest parts despite being a "celebration". Tigh sacrificed more than any of them and was just ignored while he pushed his way off the hanger deck. Also they would all have died if it wasnt for Lee.
Galactica Belly Flop was just priceless
P.S. To anyone who didnt like it....

Is season 3 showing in UK/Ireland yet? I heard Sky One were supposed to be showing it at the same time as the US release but can't see it on any listings or ads - they better not be making us wait 6 months

I forget, did Adama know that Hera's death was fake? I thought that plot might have been entirely between the doctor and the president's office. ----

Adam knows the kid is alive.
Although technically the human race is dead already, you need at least 50,000 people for there to be sufficent genitic material to prevent problems -----------

Originally by: Gothikia Like the other dude in this thread said, the bit where Adama says his farewells to the crew and then we see Galactica getting pounded, i really thought that was it for the ship, thought it was done for.
I'd like to throw out a theory that I've been brewing for a while.
I've rarely felt tense while watching any movie or TV series. Star Trek is the worse offender. While it might have a good story and underlieing themes overall, in the back of your mind, you always know the characters will get out of whatever jam the writer has put them into. It's unlikely that anyone will be seriously hurt. It's a universe where a broken arm can be fixed by waving a funny light over it. You just can't feel any real tension that way.
BSG is different. I've felt that it has you convienced that all the characters could die in the next episode, and even if they don't, they'll probably carry some scars around for a while. They might get over those scars, but it's more likely that they'll just get new ones to cover over the old.
In this way, real tension can be built. Maybe they do get out of the current jam, but the audience won't necessarily think they'll get out of the next.

Really, I heard of New Eden but nor Earth, which galaxy are you comming from? :p
The producers state they will never find earth, since it would mark the end of the show.
But then again they said they did not intend to destory the pegauses. sob sob..... -----------

No way, that sucks. The show should go on for a few series but it should finish up with them finding Earth and having a massive battle in orbit. The battle would need to be awesome though to wrap up BSG, in my mind the best sci fi battle so far is still the battle of Endor and a final BSG battle would need to at least rival that.

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT (for the UK set)
Lets clear a couple of things up: 1. Tigh did not "kill" his wife... she knew exaclty what was in that drink that he handed her... don't forget that she asked him for it. He had a shocked look on his face, that she would take it so easily
2. Ellen was not a b*tch... though she started out that way. Over the most recent episodes, Ellen became devoted to her once estranged husband. Where once she was only looking out for herself, and trying to further her own interests by her actions, she had changed into a selfless woman, sacrificing all for her husband. She slept with one of the #5s (Al from Quantum Leap... or Brother Cavil in BSG), not to get herself more food or a more comfortable living arrangement, but to get Saul out of detention. She gave that #5 the plans only when Saul was threatened, and I believe that had Saul been going along for that meeting, that she wouldn't have betrayed the op.
Lastly, she know that being caught was a death sentence for her. She also know if someone other than Saul was the one to kill her, he would foster ill feelings toward that person, perhaps compromising future ops. She also knew that if Saul were forced to kill her himself, that he would be a broken man (more so than he appears to be). So she took it upon herself to end it, removing that burden from Saul's shoulders (at least partially). Tigh returns to Galactica a broken, greiving widower, and will take the anger that is associated with grief out upon anyone who could be precieved as being a Cylon colaborator during their say on New Caprica (Gaida, for example).
I predict that Saul will become a zealot, return to the bottle, and make life generally miserable for everyone around him.
But whatever happens, it surely will be a bit of fantastic television!

^ That post just screams "I'm a 14 year old who loves space battles". Heh, if they find Earth, either it'll be a wasteland, or NOTHING like the Earth we know. I just can't see them doing the "Galatica 1980" route. ;) -----------
