I've seen that noone is answering my questions about the vagabond in the original sticky thread, so i thought lets make a new one on which everyone's getting their answers answered.
I bought a vagabond like 4 month ago, and im flying it all the time, im going totally okay with my fitting, and i really like it:
High* 5x 220mm Vulcans II. 1x True Sancha Medium Nosferatu
Medium* 1x Large Shield Extender II, 2x Shadow Serpentis Warp Dirstuptors ( 26km ), 1x 10MN Microwarpdrive II
Low* 3x Warp Core Stab, 2x Gyrostabilizer II
Drone Bay: 5x Hobgoblin II
Please feel free to argument that fitting and post yours,
Tactics are welcome too!

What's even funnier are the ones going around with just a medium shield booster :/

No, whats even funnier and idiotic is how people are not capable of sticking to the topic subject.
zwerg i've only been on the receiving side of vagabond tactics, afraid i cant help you out.

that'll do. I like a bit tougher/faster myself.
drop one of your warp scrams and one of your wcs's
fill the mid with either an invul II or med sb, fill the low with a faction nanofiber.

And if you want any balls fullstop just drop the wcs.
Nanos help you survive just fine.

yeah, its always sexier with zero wcs, but the way this ship is to be flown, all it takes is is that one tackler that was just a bit faster than you thought to give you a real bad day
your gonnna outrun most, but the price of vagas these days its justified to fit one or two. vaga is only ship i'll douche out w/ a wcs (unless i'm travel fit or some shyte)
cant wait till HAC prices drop to something a bit more reasonable (you know, maybe back down to BS price range in teh next few years plz)

This sounds much better than all other vaga setups I have ever seen .. Especially those in the sticky. Thanks for this thread!

well although the stab nerf is gona hurt most****abonds, the shield extender buff is gona mean you guys get 50% more shields so your shield hp will be 7770HP or near enough that. and if in a gang 8.5k shields o0
ok back to setups, keep what you got, but you CAN NOT have more than one stab, it will criple your range to about 11km if you do!!!
so with that over, you can still fit one stab! but is it worth it? if you are ganking a npcer they will have zero points, if you are fighting pvpers they will have more than one point. also would u really like a slow lock time?
id suggest, 2dmg mods. 3 nanos! [and also try out the new inertia things]

5 jamming drones (till ecm is nerfed)

5 x 220 II 1 x Nos
1 x 10mn MWD II 1 x 20km Scram 1 x Lg extender 1 x Web/second extender/tracking disruptor/
2 x Gyro II 3 x Local nanos
5 x light ecm drones
Tracking disruptor is the bomb. Don't like second extender that much you get rather large sig. Tracking disruptor is really cool. If I decide to fly a vaga again (stopped because of prices) will use that setup. ECM drones are a must, you rarely use your light drones the jam chance is fantastic.
There's freedom in the last high as well - be honest the nos is almost useless there. You're usually out of it's range, it's not going to be draining anyone dry (and you're not waiting around that long anyway) and you don't need the cap that much.

I supose running a large corp with a T2 producing section gives you those balls.

Nope, I've never used stabs in a combat ship and I don't think I've ever flown with stabs fitted, period. Nor does any corp production have any bearing on my own spending, nor do we have access to a vaga print.. So, uhm.. Less bitterness mmkay?
Thx for using a fresh alt to smack me tho, I feel loved.
If you really want to know my opinion on "stabs on a Vaga", it's from experience of trying to kill them, not flying one. The toughest part is actually getting it webbed, if you want it scrambled it's not too hard to get several 20ks or a warp bubble on one, it's the actual slowing it down to kill it/stop it getting out of web and scramble range, hence nanos with dual extender give it maximum longevity.
The way Vagas can be setup, they should only die to a blob, and you have more chance of MWD'ing to a gate, out running tacklers(while killing them), and warping quick by fitting nanos, not stabs. The two or one stabs setup only seems to me to be a setup for people who cannot orbit out of webrange when fighting (totally possible with ACs on a vaga).. In which case maybe you should fly inty before you start wasting your isk on a vaga..
I do emphasize with people who will fit stabs because they can't afford to lose a ship, but if they can't afford to lose it shouldn't really be flying it imo.

Everyone tends to get all high-and-mighty about wcs in Vaga threads
Basically the uber low setup is 2 gyro 2 nano 1 wcs. One stab is going to save you a lot, more than you realise. New vaga pilots will always make stupid mistakes, like getting in web range of a bc/deimos. The idea that everyone runs +2 scram is stupid, most often you will encounter a single +1 scram, if it's two 20km then they've no web. Vaga pilots pick engagements, most of the time you'll be fighting a single enemy, and in those cases the one wcs will almost always get you out if you do something stupid (it's easy to make mistakes in a vaga).
Sure if you're the god of solo go for it. My setup above is great for that. But geez be nice if everyone stopped jumping all over wcs like they're the root of all evil. The good thing is now (soon) that fitting that wcs comes with a real drawback, I think it's good. And if someone decides to fit one at cost to locking, that's a decent trade.
Pretty heavy drawback though - locking is pretty important with it, and it's already not high enough for what you use it. Hell if sensor amps actually had a decent bonus I'd use em for sure *hint* TUX *hint*
