It appears that the CCP loot shipping fairy was kind to me and likely not to others (particularly if they were looking to get one of the 1000 signed lithograph copies).
I placed my order Mar 21, 2015 15:27:31 PDT, about a day after the online store opened and I somehow managed to get copy 34/2001 of the limited issue. I also thought CCP staff had primae rights on the first 110 books.

It's interesting that you got a signed copy. Maybe the signed copies are being sent in the order they are shipped, rather than the order in which they have been purchased? |

I was easily able to change the delivery. Check this: http://www.fedex.com/se/delivery/ the password should be in a mail you got from them.

I do not think the numbers represented the order number, but maybe that is good considering the cluster it was for the first 1,000. Maybe they saw that someone was spamming the server for the first 1,000 and acted accordingly?

I was order #1000045 and was one of the lucky few that got to purchase the book whilst everyone was having extreme struggles even logging in to the site thus I would have certainly been one of the fist 1000 if not probably one of the first 100 to purchase the book.
The Art of New Eden Site says
"The first 1,000 copies sold of the Limited Edition include the lithographs signed by each artist."
So despite not receiving my order yet, I would certainly hope my order number would mean I am getting a signed copy, as there is no doubt I was one of the first 1000 who PURCHASED.
On the same topic, why no tracking number on my order? Every single order I have ever made on the internet ( 1000's) has come with a tracking number. Even RMA's from faulty hardware have tracking numbers but the book I paid $89.99 USD and about $40 USD on shipping doesn't? Why has European FedEx deliveries receive emails regarding their deliveries and get package estimation dates and we UPS in North America get nothing and receive no notice at all?
I would like my shipments tracking number please.

Are you able to provide any estimates on how long it should take for the orders to ship? I was order #54 (March 20th, 11:25AM) and it's been in "Processing" for the last few days.
I took a screenshot of my receipt from the website, but it looks like I never received an email or any other confirmation of my order even though my card was billed.
Also, someone might want to look into the ticketing system on the Art of New Eden website. I tried to submit a ticket regarding this and kept getting an error saying something like "Please remove any scripts or html tags".

I think its ridiculous that European FED Ex customers get emails regarding their order but North Americans being forced to use UPS don't receive any notices at all.

CCP_Mimic told me to open a support ticket because I was getting the same HTML/Script error, so I did. I'm going to be *very* upset if I don't get one of the signed copies :/
I had mine ordered: Mar 20, 2015 11:31:33 AM EDT, which is ridiculously early compared to people who have already received theirs, and ordered them a day or two later.

I had two copies of the Ltd Edition in my cart despite only wanting to buy one copy... vOv Was billed for two and received two (not a huge issue) but I only want one of them. I have a ticket submitted to return the extra copy that I bought for a refund, but, if somebody wants to buy it from me I'd be happy to ship it etc. Not sure of how to go about the payment or whatever but I'm sure we could work something out in the meantime.

Or rather... I got 2 of them. And apparently I also paid twice. Strange is also that on one of the boxes it has my address, but the name of someone I never heard of.
Also: The pages of the book sticked together at the top and the images/print is damaged whereever there are pictures with a dark background. Does anyone else have that issue? It's a bit sad since CCP makes such an effort to get a high quality.

Mine arrived today, the plague sais I got number 1034 but it is a signed version.

We don't decide who ships stuff for our partners.

Got mine today as well was order number 48 (which still says its processing) but got number 1221 which was signed. Like others I have also noticed a few pages were stuck together making the bottom the the pages look like the examples posted earlier.
I also received a 2nd package that is the same size (and came with the same guy) but had some random persons name on it, I did have a few issues with my ordering so not too sure what has gone on there.

I received my limited edition by mail today very nice.
But as others have pointed out the full color spreads are sticking together at the bottom of the pages on my book.
This is resulting in noticeable white spots (like a frosting effect) along the entire bottom of the spread. This is occurring on almost every chapter intro page and a few of the full color spreads (ie. The planet section).
I've worked as a pre-press technician and can tell that this is due to the ink or varnish not drying properly (setting) before going through the bindery process.
Any commercial client commissioning a print job that had this issue would have a strong case to have their product reprinted at no cost as this is a botched job.
I'm fine with paying the high cost and shipping but I demand quality in the product and that is just not reflected here. It is a shame because without the ink sticking issue this is a beautiful package and the signed lithographs are very nice as well.
P.S. The Black ink used on the lithographs' EVE logo is only 100% K and therefore is only grey. A true black would be CMYK C=75 M=68 Y=67 K=90.

I have serial 126 /2001 and I have now noticed I too have this same defect on some pages , though not nearly as bad as some of you have it. The Constructs chapter page (pg 82 -83) seems to be the worst for me and the only one easily noticeable.
However, what really upsets me much more then these very minor ( in my case ) blemishes, was what I started seeing after the quality of this product was in question and brought to my attention. Undoubtedly, I imagine many other copies also have these far more unsettling defects that may have been overlooked or unnoticed by some of you.
Due to the glossy nature of the paper use in EVE Universe , its very easy to see the glossy texture of the images especially if reading or viewing the beautiful images near a window during the day.
I came to page 67 and noticed what looked like a fingerprint / smudge on the bottom corner of the page. It was very distinct due to the glossy nature of the paper when held a certain way reflecting the light from outside. When I tried to wipe it off with a microfiber cloth , i realized this was not a finger print, it was a slight contamination in the print itself ! Not too big of an issue as this one was only visible if viewed from a certain angle but it made me instantly start to look for more.
AND MORE I FOUND
Some were very tiny, slight changes in the texture of the gloss which may have been small contaminants the size of half a grain of rice but these too weren't extravagant flaws and only visible from certain angles in the gloss and were only on two other pages ( I noticed SO FAR).
THEN I got to the last page of the book and the defects on this page were easily seen without viewing from the gloss and only appeared much worse when I did. The defects look like droplets with comet tails that run vertically away from the source and are very easily noticeable and cover about a 10cm x 3cm area to the left of the Speech Address. Even the feel of the page texture changes over these blemishes which really bothers me  
This is quite unacceptable CCP This book cost me a total of $156.50 CAD with shipping and an additional $25.94 for import charges into Canada from UPS which I though would have been covered by the initial cost of the delivery ( $39.99).
That is a grand total of $182.44 CAD which I gladly paid due to my LOVE for EVE online and Limited Edition Art Books. I love the book, I really really do, but after paying that much money for it, quality is of the utmost importance especially considering it is a ART book and its defects are very very unsatisfactory and show a serious lack of quality.
The minor blemishes i can deal with including the page sticking blemish , but the comet looking contamination blemishes /defects on the final page is unacceptable to say the least.

I got mine today! So, it didn't "probably take 3 weeks." 85/2001 I paid $386 NZD for it, so I really don't want to go searching intensely for issues in the printing.
But as far as I can tell, by looking at every page in the book, there are no defects at all.
It seems very odd that there is such a disparity in quality between some books. |

Just received 904/2001 and the only fault is that someone signed the litographies with a marker... 
Now seriously, still haven't browsed the whole book but the darkest pages like 82-83 are printed correctly, without sticking. My copy belongs to the Europe batch, if that serves something.
Anyway, if the aluminum printings were assigned randomly to the books but each book doesn't haves a individual print number (I haven't find it), it will be difficult to track the source of the failure.

Just got mine. I also experienced the "sticky pages" defect, though it's fairly minor. The white spots are hardly noticeable unless you're specifically looking for them. And it looks like whatever caused the pages to stick together can be rubbed off with some very gentle persistence.
My main concern is how I'm going to keep this white leather clean! Time to stock up on rubber gloves, I guess.
That said, I'm still very happy with how it turned out and I can't wait to go home and give it a thorough read. Hopefully CCP will be amicable in replacing the copies with more serious defects.

This was a real mess.
1) When the ordering went live, loads of people from the UK couldn't order because of the broken shipping page. When it was fixed, the shipping was a silly price.
2) Not CCPs fault, but mine was delivered to another person entirely. Thankfully he was kind enough to drive to my place and drop it off for me. I wasn't in at the time so my lodger accepted it, but a huge thanks to you, whoever you are! I got the feeling you were local from what my lodger said, if so, shout up so I can get you a beer.
3) I also have some damage at the top of the pages. Can't see any details in this thread on who to contact, or if anyone is even sorting this out.
Gutted considering the money it cost. There seems nothing obvious to select in the petition system.
On a side note I also had a damaged Eve: Source book, but I didn't complain as I assumed it was a one off. The metal plaque was badly marked when I got it. Wish I'd have flagged it up now.
These really cost a lot of money CCP. I appreciate you're at the mercy of who you contract it to (book and delivery), but the process really needs a bit better QA. |

I ordered my limited edition book one week after it went on sale (the 27th) after "accidentally" stumbling onto the developer's blog. Oddly enough, I was charged in Euros initially and it was changed to dollars on my credit card. It arrived yesterday, the 2nd and seemed to have originated from Georgia, United States. I have a grayish silver block numbered 531/2001 with a bunch of other letters and numbers. But no signed lithographs. |

I made a support ticket about its lack of quality on The art of New Eden's store page about 4 days ago and recommend you do the same though I hope your more patient then I am - The response I received 3 days ago claimed they would pass the ticket on to the appropriate CCP employee asap, though I have heard nothing back from them since then.
CCP - as a company , if you have a certain special group of customers willing to spend significantly more money on top of what they're already spending for novelty items, you really ought to do your best to to make sure you give them the best quality customer service possible or the very best quality products possible that they spend this additional money on. You should remember these special customers are the type of spenders most companies fight to try to keep at all costs. Sour Veterans mostly plex and keep the game interesting and populated. Rookies sub with money and are important to keep the company profitable/alive and the give the Veterans someone to oppress and interact with. Finally there is the special group made up of both Vets n Rooks that spend crazy amounts of money to show their passion for your work and creation and usually are very willing to show just how passionate they are about your creations with their seemingly bountiful bank accounts. I, like others, are hoping to hear from someone from CCP soon regarding the book, as I'm kinda starting to get the lack of appreciation feeling.

My order page still says "Processing." While I'm obviously happy with the end result, all in all not exactly CCP's finest hour.
Well, I had a little disappointment to learn that the book was printed in China. For 89,90 Gé¼, I kinda expected they would pay 5 euros more for the print, but anyway it's the first time I buy a Black Horse product so maybe they've been doing that for a decade...

I dont even have a tracking number. I would like to know where it is at so I can get it or instruct the driver on where to go, because a lot of times people get the deliveries in my area wrong. Especially since my city changed the street numbering system a few years ago. |

It's used to claim your ingame clothing items. You may just mail it to me in case you won't be using it.

Have you tried submitting a ticket through your Art of New Eden store account? I got a response within a day and my order shipped very soon after.

I got my book today, but pages towards the dust 514 section were stuck together. 605/2001 No Autographs :( oh well im still happy. I love the art

So to anyone with the same lack of quality issue with the original art book, make a ticket on the ART OF NEW EDEN website , you'll get a replacement free of all charges.
KUDOS CCP and DarkHorse for honoring your mistake and rectifying the issue!

So where did I post their exact response DUDE? I said I finally RECEIVED a response and I got a replacement book from Dark Horse comics and suggested those who were also upset with the lack of quality of the original do the same.
One can easily deduct what their response was using simple logic, but no where did I quote their response or even mention what they said .
Not only that I commended them for honoring and valuing their customer. WOW! Such a permabannable offense! Don't ever thank CCP cuz that's bannable too I bet! I should delete my previous post now, right? DUDE?
