Don't pretend remaps aren't a big deal. Because of the nature of attributes and skill training in this game, and because of the scarcity of remaps, not only is it kind of a big deal when bonus remaps are given to some players but not others, but it is very odd that such a thing is not even mentioned in the patch notes. I mean, if they can find the time to tell us they fixed a typo, they can find the time to tell us they are dishing out bonus remaps.
I have gone from not being mad about this to slightly mad about this. I don't see any reason why they couldn't have given everyone those two bonus remaps. If you want to be all badass n ****, and wait another year for your remap, feel free to continue to do so if you are ever awarded the remaps. However I'm willing to bet a lot of ISK that most players would be extremely grateful for them. |

Read the EULA to begin with. After that, when the rules change, they change. No one has been treated unfairly.

1. I'm always running +4s. As a new character my SPs are limited and I can't just commit two weeks into Cybernetics while I have to get my base skills up.
2. I'm not the only one siding with OP. There are plenty of people pissed about this, the general opinion on Reddit seems to be the opposite of the opinion we have here.
3. Once again you miss the point completely. This thing is not even close to be important enough for me to make a new character about it. Does this mean I can't complain? Does this mean it is fair? Remaps are an essential part of gameplay, even more so the younger your character is. There is not a single reason to treat some players differently from others. As I said before, if you can't be bothered to complain about a clear disadvantage you've been given, without a reason, then there is no hope for you. Hurr just make a new character if it's so important to you. Take classes on debating if you think this comes even close to being a proper argument. |

I'm genuinely upset. For years I've had 4 remaps and kept it that way by only changing the attributes once a year. For years my self-imposed restraint made me special.
And now...
Now everybody that so much as starts to play EVE gets those 4 remaps. Now telling someone I have 4 remaps means I'm a n00b....
Just gimme one CCP.
This entire plea unfortunately also demonstrates I don't need bonus-remaps. So I'll live I guess... |

I hate to break this to you, but your opinion is wrong. No one is unhappy that the new players get more remaps, we are unhappy that we don't get the same freedom. Now call it envy, it doesn't matter. Your moral standards however seem way off, if it offends you if people ask for equal treatment.
It is definitely not embarrassing to ask for something as essential as reworks, in a game that resolves around SP. This is not real life. I pay for this game and I want to play it in my free time and not worry about it too much. I want however to be treated the same way another paying customer is treated, who started the game just a few month after me. My 20 bucks a month should get me same thing as his 20 bucks a month. There is no arguing to that. EVE is not a one time purchase.

Absolutely true, if people don't care about the issue, they don't have to post. It's not like bonus remaps would hurt the people who don't care though. No one is forcing anyone to be mad, but I have every right to be pissed and express that feeling.

Indeed. However, unfortunately this forum is a troll's playground, and the usual suspects will try to characterise your quite reasonable point of view as that of a 'crybaby' etc.
The responses to this issue on the EVE subreddit are much more balanced, mainly because the people posting in it aren't trying to 'extract tears' for the 'lulz' and are actually behaving like normal people. |
