Is this guy destroying your trade-item's market, is he financing a merc-corp wardeccing you, or why do you care?
Concerning the "most powerful ships/tools" someone can buy with this money, he can only fly one ship at a time, so even better if he keeps coming back with expensive loot.
Seriously, having Isk |= status, skill, or reputation, and that is what is more important in eve.
It does ruin our fun in eve because if you play it in a decent way there is no way you are ever going to get any bigger.
If you try to buy a bpo of some kind he can just outbid you any time and prevent you from starting up a t2 manufacturing line.
He is also getting much more experience in pvp since he doesn't have to spend his time ratting or mining to replace his ships.
IMO everybody should have equal chanses and if you are smart and have a feel for the market you should be one of the rich guys and not some guy who spends 2000$ in RL money to get 200 bil.
It is also a lot easier to get your "reputation" if you can afford to lose anything.
Get yourself 8x officer smartbombs and a bs with 8 wcs and go sit in a system with a lot of traffic in 0.0 and you'll be known soon enough.
If you come back 10 minutes after you lose your fully faction gear fitted bs with another fully faction geared bs you'll soon be called every dirty name in existance.
I used to buy GTC's for my 2 accounts with ingame isk aswell, I admit that. But lately the prices have been soaring to stupid levels and I just don't want to spend that much on a GTC. So what i'm doing is essentially also buying isk with real life money. (If i do pay with RL money i get to keep 300mil a month)
In all honesty i am against selling GTC for isk but it is to late now : all the people that wanted to get rich this way are already to rich at the moment. Who knows maybe they are even selling their isk again on ebay and making a profit in RL cash...
