Hi, folks. We've published a brand new chronicle, written by yours truly. The plan is to publish a new item every week or so, although we may split longer pieces into several parts and publish them over longer periods of time. I'm working full-time at writing these things, and as a result we've already got enough fiction to last us the remainder of the year.
Any time we publish something new that I've written, I'll fire off a post to this forum. As I mentioned in General Discussion, comments are welcome, along with suggestions and story requests, but I can't promise they'll be heeded unless you can promise me fame, fortune and a harem of Caldari women.

very interesting...
Does this mean there will be items with "mystical" properties to them?

You'll get just that if you write an Achura related chronicle.
Anyway, I enjoyed the story. I wasn't entirely sure I liked how it cut back and forth so much between "past" and "present," but maybe it is only because I'm not used to reading chronicles like this. Also, the use of dashes instead of quotation marks for those scenes made the reading a bit awkward.
But all in all, good story. \o/

I thought it was well written and all that good stuff. I'm super glad there's new Chrons.
But I felt this story was too vague, had no real "point" to it, and didn't really "feel" like something EVE related. It also felt rushed, like it should have been a novella (or at least a 10-20 page short story) instead of a short short.
I think a lot of us want stuff that's more connected with the game world. The background fiction and all that. Stuff that adds to the Prime Fiction that most characters would know and be able to refer to.

Nope (well, not unless you count the boosters). The 'marbles' in this case are different for each person who sees them, and aren't useable by ships or pilots.
Originally by: Kyoko Sakoda I wasn't entirely sure I liked how it cut back and forth so much between "past" and "present," but maybe it is only because I'm not used to reading chronicles like this (indeed, it wasn't very "chronicle-ish", more of a short story).
For every story I usually do something that I've never done before. With this one it was the stylistic trick of concurrent timelines, converging at the end. The next one will be presented in a more straightforward manner, and the 'new thing' lies in the metaphor running through the tale. I look forward to seeing how many people (or, for that matter, anyone at all) figure out why there are three rooms in that story, and why the main character does the things it does...

Well is was different, and had some strong points, but it did turn kind of vague there toward the end for me.
