apparently in kali standings will appear along with the names of people in local. I haven't been on the test server myself so i can't validate it, but from what i know it'll be the same thing as the goon's program, only integrated into the game.
what do you pirates think of that? do you think that the people you kill dont look at local anyways, or do you think it will hurt your pirating career?

It will sure change wardeccing an industrial corp. On one hand, you will be able to tell who your wartargets are more easily. On the other hand, they will, too.
It does make setting standings a lot more important for everyone ... even us scum-sucking solo pirates.

Mazz: Long time reader and as a fellow pirate I appreciate your work (and your corp) but could you pleeeeeeeeeease change your sig? It's killing me. I don't mean to be meme pedantic but it just bothers me when I see it.

Being in local always disgust me. People see some -sec come to system and they are like "OMGZ trolls are coming, run to the hills", ss and logout. Local is the most ridicilous thing in eve.

Dislike it, local was bad enough as an easy intel device, now it's been made even more powerful.
What's next? Local gives ships types? Location? What colour socks you're wearing?
I was hoping to see local nerfed so we would need actual scouts who had more to do than look at the local count.
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it.

It is not as if your sec rating will be displayed... so unless you have killed the guy enough for him/or his corp to have set you to a negative standing, it will not be a big deal.
It would REALLY suck if us red flashy guys had red flashy icons in local
(please dont get any ideas CCP)

Bad Idea for pirates Why not just make out hole picture and name flash in local chat window just so know one misses them LOL, or even better sent up a command where u can say put it to -5.0 below when if someone comes into local with that rating it activates an auto, insta docking command.
Local chat is a joke as it is, no delay for when people are jumping in it shouldn't be instat if even there or atleast optional to be shown in it, looks like Gate camping it is then, as its two late to read local when you have jumped the gate !..

Kublai, that was me, and I had just jumped into your system and I saw a couple of members of your corp and I thought I would be sniped or killed at the gate. I thought that by talking up you could ransom me if I got in your claws instead of just shooting me up.
I'm turning into a huge carebear nowadays... RL time constraints...

i suspect this came about as a result of some people modifying their cache to do a similar thing anyway.

it would definitely change the effects of something like Jita warfare, where your fights depend on the other side not knowing exactly how many of you are in local. I would like it tbh.

Any men who can find the people I have killing war target haulers in jita in local, and then locate their whereabouts from scanning and local DESERVES to win that battle in my book.

Will be nice for wars too (assuming the red star for war targets shows up like the green star for corp shows up). Will make it much easier to get a quick friend/foe count in local too, without requiring people to have a bazillion hostiles in their buddy list.

A skill that will either mask your standings and or corporation from other players or prevent you from showing up in local unless you say something.
If my demands are not met I will jettison a full haulers load of tourists into the sun.

Ah okay.
Makes it easier for me to avoid pirates, if I can glance at 12 people in local and see that the other 11 of them are set to blue.. or only 10 blue and 1 neutral.

I havent been able to test it yet (waited 4 hours in line for test server last night, only to CTD when it was finally my turn) but I assume that all the overview settings are being transferred to local. I know I saw a screenie with someone having the little green star for corp member, so im assuming all the other overview settings will transfer over as well. Which would mean if they have their overview set to flash red for outlaws and war targets, outlaws and war targets would flash red in local.

It might hit low sec pirates hard, but since we moved to 0.0 it seems like everyone just logs/docks at the sight of anyone entering local these days. So for me, i'm against it in principle, but don't think it will effect me much.
Edit: just figured i'd add something. This was written in local a week or so ago, when me and some sniggles jumped in.
