god, people now-a-days. Understand once and for all: Graphics create no network lag, network lag is caused by profound amounts of physical data going through a pipeline and back. Graphics are client side, not sever side, and thus have no effect. All of what you saw in that could easily be achieved with the engine/lag we currently have.

Might wanna read up on CCP's devblogs man.
Kali 3 and new engine will not REQUIRE a DX10 OS OR a 690$ GFX card. I personally own a Geforce 7950 - it didnt cost me more than 295$ USD. Plus, both of those upgrades, regardless of the price would be for your own benefit, not only for gaming, but for overall Stability of your system.

EVE still looks good despite its age. The problem is that at some point we all start ignoring the scenery and begin to watch only the little symbols and lines on the screen, at which point the perceived graphics begin to suck. It's a shame that CCP didn't manage to build an UI that blends more with the great graphics and instead they added cumbersome transparent windows, chat windows with thick frames and silly vertical and horizontal lines and too many little flags on the screen.

anyways, after about 6 months, im sure sum person will release a DX10 drivers that works on pre Vista OS's

true, the new cards are massive. 10cm long require TWO pci express power lines. minimum of a 600w power supply for just one. 800+watt for sli setup, and a big case to fit it all in
