I was wondering if there are any guides out there that tell you how to make 40 + million isk a day? I am pritty new to the game, but I would like to start making more money, even if its just working up to this amount. Anyone have any links or any advice on how to accomplish this?

Making money in EVE isn't like making money in World of Warcraft or Runescape.
There is no step by step guide to making boatloads.
Sure, you can run level 4 missions or mine, but thats standard and boring. Why play a game yet spend all your time grinding for nothing?

Don't fly what you can't afford to lose.
Don't gamble (e.g. pvp, or looking for other troubles) in the only ship you make money in.
Have fun

there are, but they're pretty generic -
run missions till you a) get to L4 mission or b) you can afford to go ratting in low-sec or 0.0
run complexes
check every single piece of loot you find to see if it's worth something - you might be surprised how much you make by taking the time to "view market details"
margin trade - buy low, sell high
manufacture something that there's a gap in the market for
mine in 0.0
EVE is very much like the real world in many senses - how do you make a truckload of money in the real-world?
you work hard (run missions, for example) you steal it (too many examples to mention) you get creative (ie, you figure out what's missing and then you meet that need) you get lucky (you win the lottery for the biggest, baddest BPO or you loot something remarkable from a rat)
like others have said, there's no 'easy' answer.

Anything in EVE can be profitable, you just have to recognise it as such and be smart about it. Obvious things are mining, ratting and missionrunning. Trading is another good one. Pirating CAN be profitable but you have to be lucky, scamming same thing. Hiring yourself out as a merc or other specialized player can be profitable if you're good, being a belt janitor can be profitable. You can do escrow sniping or work the stock market and there's tons of other options. and the #1 tip to get rich; don't spend a whole lot.
It's basically about understanding other player's weaknesses and exploiting that :)

I would suggest joining a small corp. There are so many little tricks in this game that only going out and doing things with others will teach you. Besides it's a online game so you might make some friends If you are in a corp now and still asking this question here then pack up and find a new one. I was so blessed with my first corp.
Yes I mined for them, hauled for them, played bait etc etc but I learned all the basic aspects of the game and how to manipulate things to make a profit. Theres a large amount of awsome peeps out there that will gladly share information in corps.

When I started out, I got bored of mining pretty quickly, and got into trading for a bit, just on the NPC goods. Get yourself into an Industrial ship, fit some expanders, and get hold of Trade Analyzer.
Last I looked, it's possible to make 600-700k ISK off a 4mill investment, in a 5/6 jump trade thru hi sec. That's pretty good cash with next to no risk. There's more to be made if you're willing to risk low sec. ============ Qall Rungbar |

40 million a day is like 50 gold a day in WoW, pretty much only the high level characters can do that.
Like it's been said, EVE in general functions like any other MMO, you start out small and it takes a while before you can build it big. The answers to your 40 million a day question involve battleships/T2 modules and running level 4 missions, or access to 0.0 space and an alliance for support, or a few hundred million ISK capital that you can invest, so that the 10% or so profit a day adds up to 40 mil.
Or, you try to do escrow scams, and maybe someone falls for one once in a blue moon, or you spend a couple months building the trust of a corporation so you can one day steal their hangars...
There's no easy answer.

Not true. Plenty of veteran players in Eve do not even make close to that. The key to making a lot of isk in eve is to make friends. I was lucky I knew a guy from another game I use to play that was already set up here in Eve when I joined. He made a corp when I joined and bargained for a spot in a 0.0 alliance. At first it was just me and him, but... He runs 6+ accounts and I run 4. I alone make 1 billion isk a week. He makes alot more. All my characters are only 5-6 months old. But I was making that as soon as I could get into 2 covetors, a tank and a hauler. Just have to be smart and SS or dock whenever any hostiles come into system and you are completely safe. I have been down in 0.0 for 3 months now and only lost 3 Apoc's and 1 Covetor, and all 4 ships were lost to being careless and should have been easily avoided, but easily recovered from the billion I make a week. Now we have over 40 players and I have opened additional accounts to mission and one to pvp
So what is the breakdown to success:
1) Friends 2) 0.0 alliance 3) multiple accounts 4) brains

everyone can make more than 40 mil a day if he really wants to, all you need is a few skills and some effort. Ratting in 0.0 easily makes 40 mil a day, same for mining, lvl 4 missions... same thing.
Trading CAN make you a ton of money but you have to be smart about it and need a bit of luck (or rather, not get unlucky).

I make roughly 45m an hour by:
Having 3 accounts, access to a 0.0 system with lots of good ore.
1 account is in a covetor 1 account is in an occator 1 account is in an apoc
The apoc tanks the spawns, the covetor shoots the rocks, the occator hauls the ore.
Keep all 3 aligned to SS incase of hostiles and watch local like your life depends on it.
for the hauler I use tractor beam and only warp into belt when the can is full, then start heading toward SS at full speed while I tractor in the can.
(Yes this is an alt)

And for people who don't have 3 accounts, get 2 friends, do this for 3 hours and you all have 45 mil each.

Hey thats an awesome idea!!
You mean to suggest that someone play with other people toward a common goal... in a multiplayer game no less!?
What a revolutionary conept ;)
Seriously tho. If you want to make tons of is 'on your own' you can either A. train up to be able to run level 4 missions. or B. Get multiple accounts and try to work out access to a 0.0 system (you can try to ninja mine, but most likely your losses will outweigh the income, best bet is to join a 0.0 corp that doesnt mind you doing your own thing or create your own corp and negotiate a NAP with a 0.0 alliance).
My advice tho, is to not try to play a multiplayer game like a singleplayer and go find friends who will assist you in amassing the fortune you are looking for.

You make isk in EVE the same way you make it in WoW.
Join a 40+ man raid group, find a dungeon, shoot everyone else that comes near it, and camp it twice or more a day to keep yourselves in +2 guns and epic webbers. Most people, probably the developers too, don't see any point in advancing beyond this. Like it or leave it.
Or you can do something completely different. But, that requires a network of willing associates. This is how EVE filters out the unfit, or at least keeps them busy and out of the way running missions.
