Does it maintain I'm narrow-minded because I refuse to accept its claim that misoneism is the only alternative to careerism? If so, then I guess I'm as narrow-minded as I could possibly be. Of perhaps even more concern is that CCP's list of sins is long and each one deserves more space than I have here. Therefore, rather than describe each one individually, I'll summarize by stating that I have a problem with its use of the phrase, "We all know that...". With this phrase, CCP doesn't need to prove its claim that "metanarratives" are the root of tyranny, lawlessness, overpopulation, racial hatred, world hunger, disease, and rank stupidity; it merely accepts it as fact. To put it another way, reason, not make-believe, is the best way to deal with the real evils of our world. The mere mention of that fact guarantees that this letter will never get published in any mass-circulation periodical that CCP has any control over. But that's inconsequential, because there isn't a man, woman, or child alive today who thinks that CCP has been robbed of all it does not possess, so let's toss out that ridiculous argument of CCP's from the get-go. While others have also published information about virulent, effete misfits, CCP's ravings are as predictable as sunrise. Whenever I take steps toward creating an inclusive society free of attitudinal barriers, its invariant response is to turn back the clock and repeal all the civil rights and anti-discrimination legislation now on the books. I'm not very conversant with CCP's background. To be quite frank, I don't care to be. I already know enough to state with confidence that if you read between the lines of CCP's positions, you'll truly find that just because CCP and its functionaries don't like being labelled as "querulous thought police" or "froward apostates" doesn't mean the shoe doesn't fit.
