Upon patching to 26302 i get error report on starting eve.
"Try to continue without located D3DX?"
Unable to install or locate required version of D3DX. Click yes to continue, but the application may not run.
Client doesn't tell me what version, so im stuck atm. |

Had the same problem. Downloaded d3dx9_24.dll through d3dx9_30.dll and installed them. Error message gone.

download run it put the files somwhere and then run the .exe it extracts and follow the instructions

U should have a look at other threads before posting. To solve the problem u have to install the newest version of DX9.0c the Oct06 release that would be

why use this patch anyway?
THE SERVER IS STILL RUNNING 26098!
so just use that one for testing or else you get useless bug reports and probably more frequent crashes...

just use the folloing pattern:
http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/test/evepatch<old_build_number>-<new_build_number>_test.exe

Agreed, 302's been available since yesterday, but whats the point of snagging a version that the server isn't using?!?! |

If you get a DirectX dll problem (D3DX) then you can avoid this problem by upgrading your DirectX. While I expect a future build will avoid or solve this problem you can get around it now. DirectX 9.0c is the latest version, however just because you have it doesnt mean its up to date.
You can upgrade your DirectX install by going to: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en
Also, do not download and install patches for singularity until they are posted on http://www.eve-online.com/patches/testpatches.asp otherwise the server could get rolled back or it could be a dodgy patch. Do not use the patches unless they are on the Test patch page.
