Steve Minh Minmatar Old Detroit Crime Syndicate	Posted - 2006.10.26 17:46:00 - [1] I have to say, I've been impressed with Goonswarm lately. Their tactics lately have been superb. They camped down every V station system and hit KZF masterfully. Unfortunately, it didn't work out so well for them, but the underlying tactics were great and they've gained my respect for it. Hats off to goon for that. It seems like RA are definately teaching you all a thing or two. And its not just that attack a few weeks ago. They seem to be taking the game quite seriously now. It isn't uncommon to see an entire fleet of goons logoff instead of fight. A solid tactic to be sure. A complete 180 from when I fought them in S-U and they would attack and fight almost any numbers at any time. I personally think the Goons are a force to be taken very seriously now. Part of me wishes they woulda stayed the crazy board warrioring, attack you with anything alliance that they were, but that isn't happening, gone is the Goonswarm we know and love (to hate.) In its place, REDswarm, a force to be reckoned with for sure. No one knows how the coalition vs redswarm will end. However, it will be a few things for sure. It will be dirty, it will be full of smack, and it will be bloody. I just hope that it will also be fun. With KOS gone things are sure to get interesting for V/LV pretty quickly, stay tuned for some good fights. Good luck to both sides. -- Steve

I think the coalition is starting to realize that they should be taken seriously, and having a healthy respect for your enemy is always a good thing. We fought them 100 or so of the Goons to about 25 of us. There was at least 20 blackbirds. The kill mail for my Raven had 7 battleships and 10 or more blackbirds. I think given time the Goons will be a major player in Eve. (unless they wander off) RA and Goons are going to be hard to stop. They cover each others weakness. Erfurt of Metaforge

Thing is more and more of them actually appear to be flying bigger ships or tech 2 frigs. ATM goons are really fighting more conventional warfare and with mixed fleets, as were their approach to recent activities as far as i know.

Having it be all-BoB all the time on the board gets pretty old. Maybe the Goons can strike a balance between flooding the boards and ignoring them -- pick a few top forum warriors and turn them loose.
