Dash Ripcock Caldari 0utbreak	Posted - 2006.10.26 20:36:00 - [3] Introduction This movie is essentially my attempt at boiling down Outbreak into three minutes. This is not a long-winded documentary on our history, nor is it a showcase of spectacular fights or ganks. In fact, in historical terms, this film leaves out enough information to fill an articulated truck. There are countless people and events that make up Outbreak, too many to mention here. This is the sequence of events through my eyes. ItÆs fast, lean and gets straight to the point. ItÆs a sugar rush; just like Outbreak. History In the beginningà there was music. Good music in fact. The track used in this video (Muse û Map Of The Problematique) is by far my favourite track on their latest album, released earlier this year. ThatÆs saying quite a lot considering the calibre of some of the songs on the aforementioned CD. Coincidentally, Outbreak was just taking its first steps (or strides perhaps?) into the world of EVE. Putting the two together I realised I simply had to make a video that used this Muse track. So, in early August, I set about roping together some footage, old and the new, in the hope of producing promotional material that would do the corporation justice. I set myself some rules in stone: it would not be longer than three minutes, and it would utilise everything I currently know about EVE movie-making software. The ball was rollingà àthen disaster struck. I moved house and in turn required a new internet connection. Alas, certain British telecom companies saw fit to completely ruin my order with failed engineer appointments and payment plans taking weeks upon weeks to resolve. Two whole months later I finally had the internet again. I could finally play EVE again. I could also, finally, finish this flick. Thank youà ~ Lei, Trinity and Harry for shooting great footage in the first place, then allowing me to use it. ~ Superscarface and Krug for helping me out with some of the trickier shots. ~ Outbreak for being possibly the best and most fearsome corporation I have ever been a part of. Hopefully your download should be nearing completion by the time youÆve read the end of this post. Enjoy the show.

Its a nice thing you try with that "in cokpit" view but its inaccurate. If one reads the backstory one will find that the pod technology allows the pilot to be hooked directly to the ship and its sensors. Most of the footage that involves the GUI is from Harry's Battleship Gnosis - a superb PvP film made whilst Battle Angels was still going. He was capturing it at 1280*720 resolution using the latest version of FRAPs (or second-latest) which happily captures it picture perfect. I am glad you like the editing. I have plenty of things to learn from your films, like how to use Adobe After Effects!
