i've got the highest kill death ratio in a taranis i think 3:50 i think, ishkur has a 0:8 ish i belive but i don't fly it that much

Dominix. It's ability to disable multiple ships using a mix of ewar in mids and nos while still having a very solid tank and doing good dmg with t2 heavies is awesome. Best solo ship i have used so far.

My most successful pvp ship would have to of been my phantasm, soo much fun to fly and it just adds to the 'yarr' effect. 
Heavies Launchers, NOS, and Heavy Pulse II's, pleanty of resis & armor, not to mention the drones , after realising i could buy a sac cheaper, i decided to sell the ship and get 2 hacs

For one single ship, that would have had to be my scorpion... when it got blown up, I had destroyed 8 or so battleships, all solo, dozens of cruisers, a couple of recons, all done solo - I had a couple of close calls, but 5 multispecs got you out of most fights, simply by jamming whoever was scrambling you. Beats WCS any day.

I'd say it's a toss-up between a Thorax and a Claw. The 'rax is so flexible, and works really well no matter how you set it up, while the Claw is just the Claw and nothing else needs be said.

Mostly use Tempest for pvp, Sleipnir is good too.
why just the full-time pvpers and pirates, not fair  .
I only do missions to get isk for ships and gear, but i'm a slow git(ok ok lazy) with missions so it takes long before I get isk to fuel pvp  .

I love my eagle/vulture - 200km range - Great for isk earning (sniping shuttles, pods, haulers, fris, and cruisers at gate - they tend to have the most expensive stuff in their hold ). Eagle great for belt pirating, with blasters. Vulture will be just as good with the 20% agility boost in kali. Yarr

small groups - dominix (though i do like the typhoon sometimes, nice tank + damage and unlikely to be called primary )
solo - jaguar (current favourite ship, ill attack pretty much everything in this up to battleships, though the biggest i actually killed so far was a prophecy) jaguar is just a fun ship and although i lose like 1 a month thats replaceable.

Always tweaking my setup to get the maximum from the ship, after last night i think i have the uberfit for it. Who says you can't solo in Amarr?

I like the Thorax, works great solo or in small gangs. I feel a little cheap using the Rax compared to all your BS's and T2 ships.....but hey, only fly what you can afford to lose right.

I must admit, I'm fairly impressed by the wide spectrum of answers we're seeing here. It sort of suggests that there's actually a reasonable amount of 'balance' in EVE :)

Try breaking it up into ship classes, and you'll start to see some tendancies.. For example, t1 cruiser-wise stabber/rupture and vexor/thorax are mentioned way more than others.
Also, keep in mind people only fly what they have skills for. Hence, some ships that are really sub-par can be mentioned, since it's the best in a certain class flyable with that person's skillset.
Thirdly, some people think back fondly to the old days, and mention ships that have since been nerfed, which means it doesn't really represent the current state of the game.

I had the most fun in a Zealot. I got one when HACs were still relatively new, and I killed so many battleships solo (one was killed in a 1v3). I lost about 3 to CTDs and 1 one to a very savvy bs pilot (I would have got out had it not been such a close fight), and 1 to a swarm of about 8 interceptors.

For actually blowing stuff up, Id say I'm pretty much tied with the tempest and the phoon.
For getting the most bang for your buck: the rifter. Greatest T1 frigate ever. Tackles almost like an interceptor, and dirt cheap.

Before the nerf. I flew the 8 heavy drone thorax everyday. Like 8/10 of a deimos at fraction of the cost, with alot more flexibility.
On a daily basis I would say taranis. Great firepower, fast, lots of diffrent configs to keep it fresh. Pretty much no gang turns you down if you have a ranis.
Fleet mega also. Before 425 II's cost a bijillion dollars a piece.

Domi with 4 cap neats, 2 Nos.
Mid 1 microwarp, 1 invul field T2, rest large T2 shield extenders
Low max PDS T2.
Micro warp into 1km range hoping there turrets cannot track you and turn off Microwarp. They hit them with cap neats which drain 2.5x more the Nos while the drones finish them off. 2 or 3 volleys should mean no cap so they have no boosters/repairers. The setup relays more on high hitpoints then regen though regen is useful. With the new upcoming changeÆs its going even more deadly.
Drones T2 Orge its cheap easy to replace setup that works well.

Setup and high skills are key on these ships, obviously.
I tend to favor smaller ships. Your mileage may vary, this is for general purpose killing in Curse. I don't really do Empire PvP, so I have no idea if these ships would be as effective there.
Also, I've seen a couple of corpmates cause severe carnage with a Crow solo. Might be worth checking out.

Statistics lie so easily, just look at number 4 and 5. My number 7 is Vengeance, and I can tell you it is far more successful than Ares or Thorax, and even rivals my Dominix success.
