It's all about personal goals, mine are:
1) Having fun (I guess I won already...)
2) Being such a feared pirate that local empties whenever I show up (any system, including Jita.)
3) Getting a T1 frigate hotdropped by a titan and making it out alive or defeating it. (Making it out is the easy part, convincing someone my frigate is such a threat that they need the hotdrop is gonna be tricky...) |

I have won EVE personally 3 times, and 2 times with my old buddies before they left the game. Winning EVE is pretty easy, and feels rewarding, can be done in loads of different fashions. I can't wait to win again. |

Not playing the game aside, eve is one of those games that, I believe, you have to be self motivated to truly enjoy. One of my friends that has seen me play eve asked me why I like such a boring game and I responded with this: "Well, it may be a video game but I don't see it that way. I see it as a hobby. Some people like to tend to their gardens, others craft things, and some people like to golf. My hobby happens to be this game"
I find that I get feelings of winning eve when I set a personal goal that's not unrealistic but will take some time to do and eventually succeed no matter what push backs or hardships may befall me. |
