Jimtom Catastrophic Operations Get Off My Lawn 26	Posted - 2015.09.29 19:26:19 - [98] - Quote It's hard trying to find a corp Getting the gel of players right is something that isnt often achieved but 7 months ago i found one if those rare corps were it all just clicks 7 months ago after the corp was in got kicked out of null sec I was looking for a new home and had seriously considered quitting eve altogther but then an ad for cat0p caught my attention in the recruitment channel and that is were the fun started During the interview process on teamspeak I was made to feel very welcome and have never laughed so much I joined that same night This all happened in the month before fanfest to which i was going after I joined i found out that several of the corp where going as well I was a little unsure how it would work meeting these people I had just started playing with but I shouldnt have worried, it was great to meet all of them although i think i did mange to scare 2 of them when I approached them in the street haha I had one of the best fanfest this yr Cat0p and Lawn are I would say one of the best corps and alliances i have had the pleasure to play this game in There is always something to do be it a fleet op or just making isk and chatting :lol:] Cat0p as a group is more than just about eve we communicate out of the game and play other games together we are family So if your intrested in joining our family join Cat0p Public or convo any of the recruiters in our corp ad Hope to be flying with you soon P.s Bump

As I gaze back over the last ten months of my presence in Catastrophic Operations, I realise something rather amazing. I've enjoyed my time in the Corp. Why is that amazing Mith? well dear reader, I don't play well with others. No no don't hyperventilate. It's true. Not only has the corp tolerated my foibles; in all honesty they have encouraged one or two of the more benign ones. I mention this, because in my experience most corporations get narky when you don't agree wholeheartedly with the gospel according to the CEO and his (or her) Officers. Not so Catastrophic Operations. They tolerate pretty much anything that doesn't negatively affect the Corp or the Alliance its in. This dear rules monger gives you a fair amount of leeway. The Corp is primarily a PVP corp based in The Vale of the Silent. I say primarily because you are expected to fleet up for Strategic Operations, and encouraged to fleet up at least (redacted by the powers that be) times a month. Its a low number. Honestly. This leaves a not insignificant amount of time available for other pursuits, none of which as it turns out are trivial. Apart from the PVP, there are so many other opportunities and secondary careers within the corp. We have people who love to mine.... I know right? weird and possibly perverse, but there it is. Catastrophic's dirty little secret is out, we harbour miners. Just to clarify, that's miners as in people who like to spend hours filling their holds with crushed rocks and ice, not minors as in small people under the age of consent. We have a core industrial team, the members of which to be frank, are freaking powerhouses of creativity. They've built some serious stuff over the last couple of months. Seriously. Did I emphasise the seriousness of my use of the word serious? We operate POS, we build ships, we crush our oppressors with a steely eyed determination, and romp through other peoples space with the enthusiasm and total abandon of newly weds on silk sheets. We are incorrigible. ISK making is simplicity itself, and to be fair, losing it is as well. However, SRP and alliance level buy/sell orders mitigate the pain of a haemorrhaging wallet quite nicely. My wallet is usually a health shade of green. Is this the best Corporation in the game? Only one way to find out. Contact a recruiter, or join our chat channel for.. well, a chat obviously. I'm looking for recruits to join Catastrophic Operations. You...... What are you looking for I wonder? An upgrade from your previous corporation? Your first player run corporation? A corporation with more than one player in its (insert TZ here) ? A corporation specialising in PvP , Mining, Production, Exploration ? A corporation that is self sufficient/part of an alliance? A corporation with rules/ no rules? The list goes on. You see; the problem is there's 30,000 or more of you and only one of me. What can I offer you that others cannot? Nothing, and that's the truth of it. Well, nothing but the Mithandra seal of approval and product guarantee. --------------------------------------------If you suffer from A.D.D, you can skip this part of the post-------------------------------------------------- In one shape or form I've been bouncing around the Eve Universe since 2003 and I've pretty much seen it all. I've been through the starry eyed noob stage, the jaded and rich stage, and the bitter rage quit vet stage. I've praised the devs, cursed the devs, and actually thought up ways of hunting them down and force feeding their hamsters to them. I've lived Eve 23/7 for months and then not logged on for a year. I've burned bright, and I've burned out. I was here when missile splash damage was a thing and I hope to be here when the servers go down for the very last time. My last corp imploded for reasons that still escape me, and I thought that was it. No more Eve for me. But Catastrophic Operations caught my eye. Bigger corps of (at the time) bigger alliances emailed me wanting me to join them, but I chose Catastrophic Operations. Why. Well..... When I replied to their Ad, they got back to me quickly. They were polite, and could actually communicate in English with a minimum of swearwords, slang, or other cryptozoological scratchings. They invited me into their comms channel and were eloquent, knowledgeable, friendly, polite and helpful; not an inconsequential point. They were interested in my Eve background, and were open about what they were after and what they could offer me. They actually let me lurk in their comms for a day while I considered my options. When I decided to make the leap, their background checks were thorough; they even found characters I had long forgotten about. I can still hear Yama the HR rep tearing her hair out whilst wading through my admittedly labyrinthine character histories. She still twitches when I suggest brining in another of my legion of alts. Once the background checks were done the corp took a vote, and apparently the CEO voted against me, however he trusted his HR and members enough to give me the benefit of the doubt. So here I am, 10 months in and still not on the kick list. My point? Errrrr my point................ oh yes. Catastrophic Operations is a medium sized corp with a high throw weight. Its leadership log on more often than is actually required if all they wanted to do was siphon off your tax isk. The members are articulate, interesting, multi cultural and in some case multilingual. they have masses of experience in all aspects of eve, and are happy to help the less knowledgeable. The corporation has people on during all time zones, though to be honest that's probably due to either insomnia, drug taking, or an op. The members rarely need to be chased for corporation projects, in fact half the time reining them in is the CEOs particular nightmare. So whatever you want to do during your logged in time, there's always a bunch of guys available, and willing to help you do it.
