The Rokh with T1 425mm rails and T1 ammo is just sick. I'm hitting at 80km with antimatter and doing 250+ per round with 8 guns. It's insane. Optimal with Iron is the same as a Mega's optimal with old-style Tranquility Spike ammo. DPS on the Rokh is just nuts.
So in summary: We've seen 1v1 and small gang PVP totally ruined, ECM is still as good as ever (i.e. completely unfair) and fleet combat looks to be the same insta-popping one volley affair it always has been. Only difference now is that 12 people are going to be on the mail instead of 8.
this is a good post, and mirrors my own experience on the test server
ECM especially is still a pathetic excuse of a combat module.
Zero DPS fro 20 seconds plus relocking time because a T1 cruiser like a vexor 'gets lucky'? Give me a ****ing break.
ECM needs an intelligent and well implemented fix and the complete removal of its chance-based nature. It needs to be comparable to other EWAR mods, not 1000% preferential to them.

Couldn't you effectively do the same thing if you focus fired 5x sensor dampers at a target, especially one that didn't have a sniper (sensor booster) setup?
I have a bigger problem with a ship effectively acquiring 1v1 immunity by mounting 2 ecm's than 5 ships being able to shut down 1 with 1 module each.

If I may add in my two cent into this it is this, ECM ships are very very powerful in one on one, and from this nerf the idea of just throwing on a ECM moduel will shrink from the chance being more then cut in half. While others who modify their ship to amplify ECM or have several ECM or other moduels to increase their power, it is common sence that it will be a effective tool. A ECM ship uses ECM as it's weapon almost like a dron ship uses Drones as it's weapon, everyone can use ECM and everone can use Drones but used in the right hands it is deadly, not used right, it may give a slight boost for part of the battle. One other thing I see going on in ese thoughts, all of these fights are one on one or a small gang all using ECM ships, the single ECM ship or gang is focused on ECM working, if it messes up they are screwed. if you use a ship with alot of mid slots it is narutally a shield tanking ship, they have to change what the natural tank is to use the ship properly. To ballance this issue as many are still mad, with good reason to be I might add, they need to make more advanced ECCM units so people have a better time countering ECM (tho this might never be ballanced like missile defence).

No they weren't. I was there. I even watched that GM scatter your camp (to prove I was there). They were acting like individual fish in a barrel, not an organized force against you.
I'm referring to the time after the GM came in with his Raven (not even a Raven really) when we were flying in an organized gang using BSs first, then frigs, then BCs etc.
Eventually while we were still using BCs, they came at us with a full fleet of BSs with all Nos and EW. They eventually out-nossed and out-ECMed us. That and more HP/cap of the larger ships.
Because I said so...
