Looks like a real wild bunch! My fiance would have no problems with me going there all alone!
errr...Just what a video game convention should look like! I'll be there next year as long as I don't have to fly icelandair again. I expect that sort of quality plane when traveling from state to state, not across country or across the ocean!

With proper planning, one could accomplish all of these simultaneously. All you would have to say is, "Beer geysers in Main Street!" I guarantee Sel would be there, and would probably get drunk off the fumes.

was a blast last night, chatted to a lot of people, but CCP need to bring some stickers so we can have name badges so i can remember people heh. Some have their own t shirts like MC and badges like the U'K. Kudos to the US guys who had been up 24hrs and stayed out. Took afew photos which will have to wait till i get back to upload as i forgot the cable lol.

Since I landed yesterday afternoon I have...
Been interviewed by EVE TV.
Had dinner with Istvaan Shogotsu.
Been almost drowned and then blown away by the ******* hurricane force winds outside.
Pulled on Tyraxx's ponytail.
Convinced Tux that the Hurricane might be a TAD overpowered.
Watched Loxy running around with an EVE TV mini cam filming like a mad man.
Been blinded by Clipped Wings long and silky PURPLE hair.
Stayed awake last night until they actually started shutting down the bar.
Pics later. I'm off now to wake up Zzazzt, who I doubt even remembers how he got back to the hotel last night...

I got a movie here, of a ccp dude pulling his pants down yesteday(honestly, no idea who, some dude with red hair, could be a ISD too).
(he had ofcouse underwear, not any indecent shots,lol).

Word is that the prizes are a Raven that I cannot remember the name of with 8 launchers and all kinds of sexy sexiness... and an 8 turrent Tempest called the "Storm".
The final match was absolutley fantastic. Loxy got the whole thing recorded, including Max jumping up into his chair and leaping about 3 meters into the air.
The day has been a blur and it's been very hard for everyone to break up the blob and go to bed. The round tables were fun, Kieron is sexy in a kilt and Oveur was pretty sober considering it was 0200. Then again, he did have a hell of a time trying to toss that cigarette outside without it coming back and killing him...
I may actually try to write all this up after tommorow. There's some big OMFG announcement that all the Devs are giggling about so I guess we'll find out something new tommorow.

That was insane. I will look at the pictures later when I have more bandwidth. For now, I am nursing a hangover. I think last night's total was 15 beers, 2 shots of Vitoc, and 2 shots of whiskey.
Then I woke up in some random room, with someone pulling my shoes off. Then stumbled home to my room, and woke up with a strange man in the other bed. He had lost a shoe.
Completely and utterly mad, the best time I've ever had. Thanks to everyone who made it a great few days.

I was watching that and I honestly thought you were absolutely loosing your mind for a few moments there and started to hum Neurotic Fish' They are coming to take me away in my mind(although it was dam funny).
This was my first fanfeast and it was quite fun although I do have to get the guys at Decode to check my genes to find out why the hell I can't drink beer . Ended up giving two of my free beer tickets to a chap in Veto I knew from my irc days.

I still feel ill after last night but so so worth it.
ROXOR were the ******* win!
Eris is cute and cuddly!
Zond3 is one **** cool guy and holy crap being asked to sign a dev's pass rather then the other way around was epeen viagra .
Im transferring all the footage I filmed onto my pc now and will get some juicy bits uploaded tomorrow. But apart from that you'l just have to wait for Eve TV's coverage of the next alliance tournament for "MC at the fanfest 2006 the film"! woot!

Just got back home after 12 hours travel. Great FanFest as usual. It was especially good idea hosting in the Nordica as most of us only had to stumble up stairs to bed. ROXOR rocked as usual and they really brought the fanfest to a great "official" close. Off to bed now probably for a while.

Thanks to everyone that mad this years fanfest so incredible...
The PVP tourny was awesome and big thanks to Lemonde, Keirons motivation speeches were priceless and I need to say a special thanks to the Card Dev 'tallest' for taking me to the best club i think i have ever been in...
I had to play catch up on Saturday as i drank all day friday and then went out friday night... Needless to say some girl dragged me home at like 7am and i didn't get in until midday Saturday... 9 1/2's sleep later and i had missed like every announcement/presentation and free beer offer going.
Cant wait for fanfest 07, i think we might need a bigger venue...?

Yeah, man, I'm such a lightweight. I was so completely and utterly smashed at the end of the night. I ended up trying to get into the wrong hotel room, then lost my bed (insisted that someone took it, wtf). Oh yeah, and someone strange was in the second bed when I woke up.
All in all, a completely awesome experience. My first Fanfest, and it ruled. R÷X÷r in particular was way, way, WAY better than I expected. My my my my myyyyy cherona!

The FF'06 (my first...) was all I had hoped it would be, and MUCH MUCH more.
I'm still slightly groggy - Work today was hell... 18 hours of sleep since thursday... (4h each day at the FF and 6 when I got home...)
I wish I had slept LESS!!! - So many people to talk to, so many things to do...
Wanted to say Hi to lots more than I managed.
Needless to say that I'll be at the FF'07 as well.
Awesome awesome experience overall.
Start saving Guys'nGirls for FF'07 - The EVE experience is not complete until you've been to a FF.
A huge thanks to all the devs for "beeing there" for us - Not once did I run into a Dev not having time to shake hands and have a quick talk.
I can only imagine how exhausting that can get after the 100th time.

Well I decided to go on the half day tour on Friday 'cos I really wanted to see the Geyser and Waterfall. I had a raging hangover and 4 hours sleep and there was a weather warning forecast. My corp mates wendyed out claiming worse hangovers so I chose to go alone and by god it cleared the hangover. Anyway here are a few pics. The first is of GullFoss Waterfall (2.5mg download) and the other 3 are captures from a short movie I took of the Geyser erupting. Awesome tour and would recommend it to anyone. As to the credit card bill?!?!?!

One thing I will say (dunno where else to post this) is we NEED NAMETAGS NEXT TIME! It'd be so much easier to meet everyone there if every attendee was given a tag so you didn't have to introduce yourself 650 times just out of the blue

Yeah, Bad Karma's CEO decided to get so drunk he lost his way back to the hotel and slept for 3 hours outside on some building site.
He then crawled back to the Nordica at some ungodly hour moaning something about not being able to feel his toes and slept on the floor in one of our lads rooms who was staying there.
Suddenly i dont feel so ashamed at sleeping through the entire of Saturday's activites.
By the way Jorrel1 i think the MC may have provided the tactics for the PVP tourny and you just pressed f1-f5. Argue all you want but i dont think you have a leg to stand on...

At the top of the screen, click Gaming, then EVE Online on the right. My Fanfest 2006 page is in there with five galleries of images. Be patient and wait for the page to load before clicking.
Hovering the mouse on the left or right side of the full size image and clicking will let you move around to previous or next images. Full size on the site is 1024x768.
I took about 800 images in total, and I sifted through them all last night to get the ones I felt would capture what Fanfest was for me. Some I've held back in reserve for a separate MC-only gallery, and some are so special to me that I'll keep them just for myself.
Enjoy, and feel free to drop me a note to let me know what you think. Larger sizes are available, these are massively reduced in size.

And thanks Kyl, the landscape pics were mostly taken from the hotel. :) With all the Fanfest stuff going on, as well as the serious amount of drinking everyone did, I didn't get a chance to go out and see much of the city.
That and I risked being blown out to see by that wind. Would rather sit inside and drink with the devs. :)

I'm glad everyone likes them. I went and got a new camera like two days before the fanfest just so I could take some nicer photos, not just for myself but for everyone who was there (and who couldn't attend).
And let me say this: image stabilization in a camera is a **** good thing. Most of those late night type pics were taken when I was in a state which pretty much necessitated stabilization. Me, and the camera. :)

I would just like to thank everyone who has posted pics for everyone to browse and get thoroughly envious over. I, for one, am unable to get away from the shop to visit the fanfest, much though I'd love too.
Maybe next year I can convince dad that I need a holiday... (he owns the shop)... though who'll cover me while I'm gone, heaven knows.
You reckon the customers would mind if I just shut the shop for 6 days (considering we're the only shop for 6 miles in any direction and we deliver newspapers to a 36 square mile area and we're the only newsagents that do so)?

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed them. Lightbox is an awesome tool, yes. :) I use it all over my site (see the digital art section for more lightbox fun).
I still have like twice that amount that I didn't put online. Took forever to get them all off my camera. :)
