Unwritten law of eve:
Whenever you change to a short skill right before DT, the server nodes will die just before you login to set the next skill.
So i confess: I summoned the server crash! (once again)

Anyways. Fortunatly for me, I managed to grab the mission-item twenty seconds before the whole thing went out with the bath water. I just hope it's still there when I manage to get back on.

These server crashes cause some interesting side effects though...
1) server crashes
2) my corp's IRC channel lights up because everyone joins to complain about 1)
3) IRC channel goes silent after a few intense minutes of rabble
4) our forums light up like they were made of gasoline because everyone has gone there to post about 1)
5) our forums crash

I still beleive checking status really means they are using ultra secret hypno rays to read our thoughts as we stare at the red screen of doom. Notice its a red screen versus a blue screen. Infrared rays I tell you!

Back from work....sit at PC ...start EVE ..och yes new patch Dl it and get "The patch was downloaded but it failed verification indicating that the
file is corrupt. Would you like to download the file again?
You will not able to enter the game until you download the patch."

Soo.... i DL it again , and again , and again ....and...again..and..aga..and...... like 15 times....
CCP rushed a mini patch without seeing if it would install correctly and guess what every single eve player is now buggered which means unless they have a seperate download that youre going to have 550 MB x 130,000 users all trying to download it at once i hope CCPs bandwidth can handle lots of peeps downloading the full game.
