A few months ago, the majority of m0o, left known space and set off to attempt an attack into Jove space through a previous undiscovered wormhole. The fleet was sucked into a wormhole and has been un-accounted for for several months. However, a long distance communication today was recieved which brought new light to thier fate. Several small scale skirmishs in Jove space occured and several m0o ships were captured. However in a daring escape bid, several m0o vets escaped and have reported being on the edge of space. Included in this list are Lord Zap, The Reverend. Watch for thier return....soon.

OMG SO COOL!
I wish ccp would make a story about me.
A long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.....*music* HELLWARRIOR! one day while he was traveling around he got randomly sucked into jove space, and they captured him, he learned the jove ways and then they let him back or soemthing and now its all coolies with jove. When I returned from my travels for some odd reason i had a jove bs! wahoo!.......

So, let me get this straight: Players who've not been in the game for a long time...who quit because of boredom with the game/issues with PvP/'Real Life' getting in the way are suddenly and 'miraculously' reappearing in the game like some sort of heroes and we're supposed to take all of that and say 'yippee'???
Sorry, I have zero respect for any player who - like Stavros - claims openly to have had enough, then lingers his ass around with an odd post or two, only to 'show up' again in the game.
Can't wait 'til they pull the disappearing/reappearing act again...and again...and again.

What a laugh, someone manages to "aquire" the account of a well known pirate of old and thinks they can't waltz onto the scene and carry on where the true owner left off. Doubtfull at best. Anyone wanna take bets on how long it takes them to run their names into the mud? Come camp Sarum sometime and play with the CVA. I'd love to add a "famous" corpse to my hanger. Ohh I forgot, you'll be looking for a FAIR fight won't you.

there is a possibility someone dont sell there account on ebay, just cos it was up dont mean they sold it. Plus the reverend aint been online for about 2 months, so if someone did buy it which i doubt i think they would have brought it online within 2 months. so shush before u make comments u know nada about.
and tbqh these are some of the most famuos players to grace the game so it's exitng times all around.

First thing they did was run to the CA... remember, the CA are NOT pirates...
m0o was never successful due to their amazing skills, they were successful because they stayed ahead of the member curve. they had cruisers when most were in frigates, they had battleships when most were in cruisers. they had knowledge of the top load outs for certain ship types, they had the reputation and the financial backing to recruit the best of the best. which of that they do have now? none of it.
m0o has battleships, but so does everyone else. they are rusty and no longer are the leaders in the pirate circles. those of them who just got back and havent been pvp'ing much are lacking the new information on load outs and the tactics their rivals use. with the collapse of TTI and that circle their financial backing has withered away. and the most important change is the number of succesful pirate corporations that are vying for new blood and hard core players.
sure, stavr0s may have a ton of cash, sinister may give m0o a rundown of all the changes that they need to be aware of so they can compete once again. but the basic fact still stands: m0o is no longer a leader in the field of pvp, they are playing catch up.
disagree? ask yourself these questions:
why did they join the CA so quickly?
why did sinister approach mining corps like enigma to form the CA in the first place?
how are the actions of biomass characteristic of the problems most pirate corps face?
is m0o comming back onto the scene hoping to jump ahead with the advent of tech 2?

m0o did not run to CA, before our departure to the edges of space, Empire space being what it is today means that the wildness of 0.0 space was our first likely meeting place. Curse was m0o's original birth place long before we were heard of and is a source of numerous supply dumps.

biomass we have in plenty, just most of it is based in empire space.
m0o as mentioned earlier has just returned from Jove space, we've seen stuff that makes tech 2 look like kindergarton toys
m0o is returning, when our regrouping has been completed you'll know about it.

Following discussions with the CA council, m0o has decided to join the CA. While we remain a part of the CA we agree to refrain from pirating and follow the rules laid down by the CA council. If and when we decide to start removing the scum of the empire from the space lanes again, we will notify and then depart CA space.
On a seperate note, Lord Zap has confirmed that while his recovery from our recent escape from within Jove space is taking longer than was orginally planned, he should be fit to return to full operations within the next week. We would also like to welcome Verble back to full operating capacity.

ok Xeno wants to know about moos exploits, dont have much time since im going out, but one was the one with the masses of cans when they were attacked by a battleship. Then they complained when chased out of empire by concord special ops.
They actually only sat and ganked frigates and shuttles becuase not many others were in cruisers. The reason why moo were in them so quick (as admited in an interview by one of moo) was that they played in beta, they saw how close the ark and bistot was and upon the game going live they went and mined this in thier starter ships like crazy, then got bigger ships. This could have been considered skill, but they should have perhaps mentioned how easy this was in beta.
Then mining was made more difficult as it should be and the gate and timer knightmare was created by thier exploits, so they have left us with a great legacy all in all. Im excited to see them back to see what else they can do to expertly get ahead of us all...

I swore I wasnt gonna post to this thread and give it a bump when it doesnt deserve one.
Crimsonjade has summed it up perfectly, Calling them 'famous' pirates who were 'good for eve' is ridiculous.
I am an alt but as a main have been around for a LONG time. I cannot post as my main as it pains me to think that I may have to deal with them.
The original Moo were GREIFERS plain and simple. They were so feared because they happened to get a head start in the game by using every possible exploit going.
That sat in noob systems ganking EVERYONE they could and even have boasted that in them days there were so many new players they couldnt even keep up with the traffic. They took advantage of massive stacking mods and as stated were ahead of the player base in terms of ships because they just ganked any poor player trying to expand.
If you notice they quit EVE right about the time when CCP sorted out a lot of exploitable bugs and changed the jump gate escape trick.
The real Pirates such as SI etc stuck around, M0o cried and all left.
Stavros made posts saying he was leaving just to inflate his ego but he never really went anywhere.
I have heard him moan that the reason they left was because people started to catch up and they werent the only ones in Battleships .....how pathetic is that.
'Im going to quit because people have caught up and can now defend themselves' ...'I only enjoy ganking noobs all day til they quit'
Their style of play is up to them but please, all you wannabe fan boys who have only heard the names/legends, have a think before you post.....they only enjoyed EVE whilst they had huge advantages.
Anyone who quits a game because the rest of player base was starting to catch up is LAME !!!
I actually hope when/if they do return that they prove me totally wrong and play the game fairly and dont throw their toys out their prams as soon as they realise their are people who can fight back out there. |

On mOo, well they did make space a little more spicy although some of their choices of bedfellows could have been better, ie the old 'noob next to a gate on comms with his buddies, indy warps in next minute 5 BS appear next to it after being told to login by said noob next to gate on comms' trick. At the time i think i was told and? its in the game mechanics so its ok to do....
I like the thought of non npc pie rats in the game, but keeping it in character and not using exploits.

It's interesting that the original m0o members and original RUS members both come back at about the same time. Say what you will about lack of skill points or rusty PvP skills, players like that will never be insignifigant. CA enemies should probably step up the assualts right about now. Yeah i dont intend to have negative security anymore because its just too much hassle. Remember I had my -10 way before uber concord, even before concord had the ability to warp scramble and webbify. Plus I play in the knowledge that if i lose a ship to a bug (like how i lost my megathron 3/4 months ago) i most certainly will not have it replaced.

Master exploiters, famous for shooting indies and running from battleships, complaining when faced with battleships, using cans to fight one of the first battleships in the game (using cans so as not to fight it should i say) Saying you will quit when faced with punishment... Then actually just using an alt character to mine while you wait for your sec status to rise... very very very lame, if you want to keep your legendary status with the kids i suggest you stay hidden or stick in large groups and target shuttles like you are used to... Quite frankly that is no justification. Simply sitting in a system trying to work out how to beat the game and everyone else playing (which is still an ongoing issue) is no excuse to go "Bug Hunting" for CCP.
That's my opinion anyway.
PS. Role plying their return is very lame indeed. The Reverend SOLD his account on ebay, i saw it there and quite frankly laughed, even I had a damn sight more skill points at the time. So he is either not the real character which is even lamer or he's a lier. I honestly don't know which is worse.

IF we exploited we would have been banned. GM's have investigated us a number of times and found no evidence of us exploiting. Yes we used to use multiple weapon upgrades but this wasn't unusual and was generally the done thing. As for the container lag this was a one off incident caused by the npc rats that sat 40km behind the gate in passari. That was also nearly 5 months ago. Get over it, we have.

If I remember rightly, back in the days when m0o first became a household name, it wasn't entirely that they were "exploiters", rather they were the first to realise a number of tactics and strategies that shaped the game.
For example, I remember tales of m0o wreaking absolute havoc in Empire space (Lonetrek, IIRC), which led to the appearance of sentry guns on gates, etc. I think m0o were the first people to come up with a combination of tactics and equipment that allowed them to nuke CONCORD vessels, perhaps. That's not an exploit; it's a player playing the game right at the limits. This caused CCP to nerf CONCORD vessels up to the "near-invincible" level we see them at today.
I may be remembering this all wrong.
My point is, they were the original Bad Boys. But, like many such characters from history, they're actually remembered fondly for their daring "exploits".
Sadly, piracy has become the norm now, and for that I can't exactly thank or congratulate them...
