HippoKing had a great thing going, but unfortunately he was banned from the forums, for like...ever. He left a message in his last topic saying anybody could feel free to continue, so far I haven't seen anyone do so. So here it is:
Post here the fastest speed your ships have obtained
I want a screeny of the ship info thing as well or the "set speed to", as proof.
A screeny with the setup/skills/implants on would be nice as well, but non-essential.
No evil ISD polaris cheating.
Faction mods, snake implants and gang links are allowed
We have several categories of record:
t1 frig - held by Instagib
t2 frig - held by Instagib
t1 Destroyer - held by Instagib
t2 Destroyer - held by Instagib
t1 cruiser - held by Instagib
t2 cruiser - held by Instagib
Battlecruiser - held by Deusine
T2 Battlecruiser - held by Deusine
Battleship - held by Papermate
T1 Industrial - held by Instagib
T2 Industrial - held by Chribba
shuttle - held by Instagib
Dreadnaught - held by Chribba
Carrier - None Entered
Freighter - None entered
Faction ships count as t1
Industrials have been split into two categories now for t1 and t2.
Must be post-exodus, single MWD
I took off most of the edit notices, because the huge stack of them was annoying me.
If you post a new record at any point, mail me if I don't seem to have noticed by the time it drops off the first page.
Current Overall Highest Speed: Instagib's Zealot at 30892m/s
Bumps do not count: you cannot get the Info or the "Set speed to" box, required to win a record.
Any implants, mods, gang bonuses, command links or skills are allowed. Just go as fast as possible.

Instagib's(most of them) only work in IE....I'm not really sure whats going on...I guess I'll save them all and imageshack them or something.

About the "showing the same image", it was due to an error on my side. Should have been fixed now, sorry for the trouble.

ohh, those still alive.. makes me wonder if I should update those using Kali test...
For now I think I'll leave that to someone else, but I do think they should all be around 60-100% faster using inertias, rigs and combat boosters. Might actually be fun to see the difference.

To the OP and everyone else, you need to change the rules. It should not count as a speed record if the person did not actually go that speed. Instagib's zealot did not travel 30kms, and could not travel 30kms

Yeah, I agree he may have never been able to reach that speed but he might have been able to if he dropped guns for cap booster. The only two questionable ones are the T2 BC and T2 cruiser record, which can probably be beaten in Kali. The records will stand. I will say, from now own your ship must be going that speed. Since these records will be moot in Kali, I'll keep them on the list until beaten.

That is already in place however it is a session cookie, will turn it into a real cookie (but you will still be annoyed with an ad like every 10th view )

If Inertial stabs don't get hit with the nerfbat before Kali goes live, I don't see why they would be any different than a TQ record. So when kali comes I'll look at them.

Pretty much all of the original speed records (except chribba's) were set on the test server. Either these are in or you scrap all the previous records and start a fresh.

I think Test Server should be allowed ONLY when being used with a TQ build.
Using SiSi to achieve speeds possible on TQ is one thing, using them to achieve speeds which are not possible on TQ is another.
Between corps atm, the NPC one is strictly a temporary thing.

Unless Inertial stabs aren't nerfed, these speeds will be possible on TQ next week most likely. If IS don't receive any nerf from there current state when kali goes live...there is no reason why they won't count.

It should still be possible to improve on these speeds by a considerable margin, even without using any rigs.

I just tried the zealot myself (I have Zor's custom navigation and arnold doesnt) so got it to 46km/s.
This was using:
Full high-grade snake set.
CY-2
Zor's custom navigation hyperlink
MY-2
100% Maxed out navigation skills
Claymore in gang with gang mods, Claymore pilot had 100% max skills and mindlink.
15% mwd t1 rig
10% speed t1 rig
Gist X-Type 100mn MWD (fastest)
Local hull conversion overdrives and inertia stabs (domination are faster!)

I agree - either there's an item I don't know about, or there's an error in my spreadsheet somewhere. The maxmimum I can get for a shuttle (without combat boosters - I think the pic pre-dates them) is 1192.58063690508m/s - Shaqil's Speed Enhancer, full Snake set, Navigation V and full gang bonuses - Claymore with a link module + mindlink, all gang speed skills at level V.
Unless that's a non-standard shuttle - no, it turns out that they have the same speed...

At first we thought we'd only beat the old one by 10m/s, but then I realised that the old record was actually only 7909m/s.
