A pirate blows up creating a total white out on my screen for 15 seconds or so, this had been going on for 3 years that I can remember now, please fix this!
it isn't my computer it's only 2 years old

That way, CCP can get some details about it. (some logs are copied, when you do the submit within the game)
After all, it's obviously (First report I've seen) not a common problem, so it's likely something semi specific to your computer.

a random forum post isn't going to do much about it. A bug report would be the better tool, I think if you report it in game it captures some of the important details about what is going on. there is also a screenshot button that you can use to easily upload a screenshot.
that said I'm really bad at writing bug reports,

It (infrequently) happens to me as well, but since IGÇÖm playing on a sub-spec Mac laptop, IGÇÖve always assumed that it was just my stressed out graphics card taking a quick break.
"Enduring", "restrained" and "ample" as designations for starship components are foreign to the genre of high-tech science fiction and donGÇÖt belong in Eve Online.

This has happened over the years for me as well and I've submitted a bug report and posted an image of the issue on the forums as well. HOWEVERRRRRRRRRRRRR it hasn't happened in a while after I changed my display settings to window mode.
And please .... talking in vent/ts3 other players have known about this issue as well so don't play the, "huh, what you talking about bruh?"

Happens to me pretty often. I'm using a Radeon 5870. Sometimes it's a full screen white-out, sometimes only half a screen. Sometimes zooming in real close to my ship and twirling the camera around makes it go away. |

This has been happening intermittently since I started playing four years ago. I've seen many other people complain about it as well. It's not common in the sense that it doesn't happen often, but it seems to happen to quite a few people. |

Unfortunately this is something CCP has known about for several years, many bug reports have been given and yet CCP does nothing about it. I had this start a few years ago as well. Happens on brand new systems, etc. Its been in a few threads in the issues and workaround section were I found many people it affects.
Its happening cuz of the explosions. I get full white, half screen white, yellow, blue and what looks like a bigger colorful explosion on the screen with blues, greens and yellows obscuring a lot of the screen. Happens mostly in Jita but Ive had it happen in high, low and null as well. Always when someone or something blows up.
Turning off the explosions or other visual settings in the Escape menu doesnt change anything either, Ive tried, and considering in the last thread from several years ago its not like its even on CCPs list of things to fix.
So just saying its a known issue but that I dont have any hope CCP will fix it ever.

Its not a driver issue. Ive used several different cards, hell I bought a brand new card and updated it hoping to fix this issue. Even with everything up to date itll do it.

It's always happened, for like years. Every now and then, either half or the whole screen goes white. If you zoom right out, sometimes it will stop, and if you change to something like planetary view and back it will sometimes fix it. I know it's happened to at least myself, my rl mates and a good number of people I've been in corps with. I just figured CCP didn't particularly care about it.

After a bunch of testing, I have come up with a solution to this apparently commonplace problem that has been going back for years. It involves a very simple, yet specific action that you must take in-game in order to rectify things.
Stop exploding Pirate NPC's! See, easy peezy - go explode players instead and this problem will resolve itself! I accept ISK donations for my troubleshooting services, as much or as little as you can afford. |

Still, bug reports, while the problem is occurring, are good. I can only imagine how hard it is to run this kind of problem to ground, when you only have the end effect, rather than the state. (correlation tends to help, so reports from multiple people tends to be useful. Multiple reports from a single person, not so much.)
I _suspect_ it's probably something along the lines of 'this kind of graphics card, with driver X or Y, with shader settings Z (and so on)' that causes it.

And in that vien, the more bug reports CCP gets the more data points they have, the more likely they are to be able to find a root cause to the issue.
I know this used to happen to me, before I updated my graphics card to a newer model (this was several years ago, so it's not new now I want to say it's a 440 series NVidia). I can honestly say it has never happened with this card, and these drivers, and the settings I play Eve at.

I had that happen a couple of times when someone exploded at Jita undock, alt-tabbing out of Eve and back fixed the problem. HP laptop, GeForce 620-something. |

No, it happens to me too. Maybe about once every two months. I'm on a Mac, so its a cross platform bug.
