November 20th 2005 saw the realisation, and the birth of a dream. On November 20th 2005, Veto was born.
One year on, the corporation moves from strength to strength.
As with the establishment of any corporation, setbacks, delays and problems occur. As a team, a collective and moreover as a family, Veto have endeavored and suceeded to overcome any barrier that has stood in our way.
During a year of activity our corporation has undergone many changes, achieved many objectives, made many enemies and of course, a close group of friends with whom we've flown into the melee. To those who have fought and stood or fallen beside us, you have our eternal thanks, and our gratitude.
Veto, like the few corporations that survive their fragile first year as fully active combat outfits, is a testament to the fact that perseverance sacrifice and teamwork prevail, no matter how harshly an organisation has the odds stacked against it in a hostile environment of thousand man alliances, blob warfare and a sheer game of numbers.
In the last year our corporation has seen many faces, and fought many wars. From our days as an 8 man high-security terrorist outfit, to our return to basics, piracy in the border regions of New Eden, when our roster increased six-fold after a surge of applications on announcement of our return to outlawship.
We then saw subsequent attacks on Ushra'Khan and defense when agressed by the Interstellar Starbase Syndicate in retaliation.
From there Mercenary contracting began and one year on the core of Veto, our members, the living breathing assets that make our corporation what it is today, still fight with the pride they did a year ago.
For this I publically thank each and every one of you who has fought under the banner of Veto, past and present. This corporation's success is not based on any one member's drive or goal, but the common goal of our entire roster, and the endless devotion that members of our ingame family have shown to making our corporation as close knit as it is today.
I for one am proud to be a part of Veto, and to be flying into a second year of membership as the leader of what is my eyes, the finest group of players in Eve-Online.
Here's to many more years of the same.

Im glad ive finally found a corp with the same goals and agenda's as me.
Verone thankyou also, it is very hard to run a corp especially one such as veto.

My time in Veto has long since forgotten the half-year mark passing like a Virgin Tilting Train (who cares about TGV :P). In this period I have achieved more as an EVE player than I ever thought possible for a 2005 starter.
Veto has given me the oportunity to try the juiciest PvP there is and to shine both in solo and in small gruop combat. Since I joined Veto. I have been having the best time of my EVE career by far. The Family integrity and the "warm" (can't say ***! LOL) atmosphere is fantastic grounds for the development of a Pod Pilot.
It gave me fanbois! It gave me fame! It gave me FRAPS footage! It gave me a deformed child of Verone in my womb! ( oops)

I got into Veto just over four months ago, and in the past four months my EVE life, so to speak, has accelerated faster than I could ever have hoped. In my first hour within Veto I was sat on Ventrilo finding more and more about Verone as a person, within my first 3 days I had been part of a gang that dropped an 800 mil Scorpion (Sell that god **** scrambler Mao!) and a Dreadnought within 3 hours of each other.
Within the last month I have become a Director within Veto and it makes me honestly proud to fly alongside people such as there are in Veto. It is my home, and I'm proud to see it through to its first anniversary.
Long live Veto.

Those words still echo in Jank's ears. Not during the day mind you, but at night... when all of Veto. is asleep (or passed out cold) in their labeled bunk beds in the Veto. Dormatory. Janks normally likes to stare up at the ceiling (when sleeping sideways since he has lower bunk) and try to rationalize that horrible day.
It was gravy day at the Caldari Orphanarium and Gift Shop, and Janks just wanted a refill on his teaspoon of Gravy. Headmaster didn't approve of this Oliver Twist situation, and uttered those horrible words.
So Janks left, to make a life for himself, and his 4 or 5 children born out of wedlock. Well, Janks doesn't remember much about what happened when he fell off the Electron Bull at the Rusty Jita Saloon, but the Waitress did sew up his skull and swear that the childruns was his before flying off with some stinky Amarrarian. Sigh.
So Janks needed help, direction, and most of all, a cure for space lice.

So there Janks was, naked in a diaper, standing at Veto.'s doors just 4 or 5 months ago. Janks got in the basket, and rang the doorbell....
and well, the rest of the story is still being made.
As Janks falls asleep, he smiles, because tomorow is bacon day for breakfast.
