Today the BSC announce two things to the public; Firstly, Dregan Darkstar our CEO has chosen his successor, Kalsius Dakalsai. DreganÆs Statement;
ôIts time for me to pass the torch onto my successor, Kalsius. Kal is one of BSCÆs most senior members and has been part of the leadership group for as long as I can remember. Please give Kal a warm welcome as your new Uber Supremo Commander (err CEO)! I have every confidence that BSC will continue along its path of glory under his care.ö
Dregan makes his announcement in his usual humorous tone, and as always has put the corporation before himself. Dregan has always made it clear that he feels the need for BSC to have a strong leader and he personally does not feel he can fill that role any further. ôMy time has erodedö is how he expresses the problem of finding himself spending more effort and time in other fields.
Kalsius' first act was to thank those around him,ôI would like to express my gratitude to the directors of BSC for this great honour.ö And we wish him all the luck in this task.
Kalsius went on to explain, ôThe BSC is yet again expanding in 0.0, our opportunities are increasing by the dayö. This therefore leads to our second announcement; the British Space Corporation is again opening its doors for recruitment. The corporation is interested in more experienced pilots at the moment, used to the demands of 0.0 living; therefore entry will be restricted more than has been in the past.
Recruitment Criteria
òAll prospective employees are expected to be mature, respectful, honourable and trustworthy. òPod pilots must have achieved minimum score of 5 million SPs in thier exam. òEmployeeÆs MUST be prepared to use voice over communications at all times. (e.g. Teamspeak) òWe will not accept scammers. òEmployees will be expected to operate in 0.0 activities, that being combat or mining. All members will be expected to assist with combat and mining ops when necessary.
Interested parties should join Neocom channel BSC PUBLIC and ask for a chat with an officer like Shass Steirg or myself, Dawson.
Alternatively You can goto our website and visit the recruitment section of the forums.

Background
The British Space Corporation is a multiracial shipbuilding enterprise, one of the first 10 still-existing corporations founded in the Corporate Boom of Year 105. We are open for business-producing star ships at most levels, for the majority of races. Comprising of seasoned EVE pilots - veterans of combat including campaigns during our days in CA, Fade, Foundation and the Forsaken Empire, construction and trade - the BSC has gone, and continues to go, from strength to strength.
The Year is now 108, times are changing and so is the BSC. The BSC has a lot of experience, we have been a active large corps from the year 105 we have had are ups and downs, travelled the north, east, south and west. We have had our own training academy BSCAC priding ourselves on being able to take any person and train them in industry and combat.
Through our years of experience we have learned many things, and to do well in Eve today, there has to be a fine balance in experience, industry and combat.
Change
We have often called ourselves an Industrial corp. But were more then that now, we have the experience in combat through the alliance warfare we have been involved in over the years. We have great pilots and great Fleet commanders. We are now in the position where we can now field more then the so-called combat corps, and the industrial backbone too back us up and excel in doing so.
Our Pilots
DonÆt let the name fool you. I know where called the British Space Corporation but were far from it. We have a multinational crowd, the bulk coming from Europe and a growing contingency in North America.
Originally by: Kyogen Steiner The hardest fighting industrial corps IÆve ever seen. When they set their mind to something, they kick ass, or die trying.

Originally by: Aiolos Caci I've been playing EVE since Beta-5 and I still love it... Having started in our own corp [TLE] with a few of my EnB friends at the time, we've merged with [BSC] a long time ago, merging our assets, blueprints, problems, and friendship. I started as cannon fodder on the frontlines, fought in the Amarr Championship under The Enslaver's command, followed Duke Droklar and Tholarim [OC at the time] in the Esoteria Campaign, and defended Curse in our time with CA. I've learned all I know about EVE Universe while I was with [BSC], met a lot of great characters, fought alongside and against some of the greatest EVE commanders who will forever have my respect no matter which side of the barrel they will be.
I came into the BSC family as an outsider, started as a grunt fighter pilot. I am now one of the Directors, in charge of the Royal Security Department, Admiral Of The Corp Fleet, and that was my story.

I'm a new player to the game but I have started to specialise in covert ops, then eventually interceptors and other light ships. I am under your minimum sp at 3 mill. Would you consider my application?

I started playing EVE 8 months ago and quickly learned that 0.0 is where all the fun takes place. I decided very early that I was not going to pirate and so I needed to find like minded players who could help me in my steep learning curve that is 0.0 as a noob. It seemed to me at the time that joining a corporation was what i needed to do, in order to gain access to 0.0 with so little pvp and skill experience.
After a few months in Empire I searched the net and forums for a suitable corporation to join and found that in several searches that I did the BSC where there. So after reading the britishspacecorps.co.uk web site and joining their forum and plucked up courage to join their ingame channel (BSC PUBLIC) I applied.
Straight into the BSC Academy and a huge amount of help coming my way. I graduated as we moved into 0.0 Vale of the Silent and straight into action. And, yes, it was a steep but very enjoyable learning curve.
The corp have some very experienced corp members, fleet commanders, industrialists and PVP'ers, and it is a pleasure to be part of such a professionally run corp. We attract applications from a very wide range of player, from noobs and low skilled players to seasoned veteran's.
All BSC corp members have the same dedication and commitment with some real hard core 24/7 types to to those that have less EVE time and a real life. One thing stands out in BSC and that is that every one is friendly.

I joined Eve about two years ago and found that 0.0 was what I wanted to pursue. The key thing was to find a good corp where I could grow in my abilities and help others to grow as well. I left a good pvp corp to join an excellent corp of experienced pvpers who are diversified in their abilities and are willing and able to help one another out at all times. Wheather that is in a manufacturing aspect of the game or in combat. This corp is always 100% team oriented and a truly fun group to play the game with. BSC is a disciplined, dedicated group who like to have fun and always gets the job done!!

Well i cant let a BSC recruitment post appear without adding something myself :)
I joined BSC at the beginning of this year, first into the Academy as it was then and finally into BSC when i had got enough experience. BSC was the first corp i joined after my noob corp became smack talk central and i cant believe i lucked out so much. While looking for a corp based in the UK, BSC was one the first i saw and immediately felt an empathy for. When i joined, the members were extremely helpful, generous and friendly while i began the long road from total noob to confused buffoon status. :) Disregarding the actual EVE part for a moment i think u will struggle to find a more fun loving and friendy group of people in an online game "corp". The banter is fast flowing and not always of the highest wit but its a rare day when vent or ts is not full of people laughing and joking about someones noob mistake. Dont worry though its not aimed at the noobs, we all take our fair share! In EVE the BSC has, for the most part, been based in 0.0 during my time with the corp. In my opinion this is the way to play eve and gives us access to the best roids, the best rats and our all time favourite, the best nme`s BSC is labelled as an industrial corp but hostiles soon find that we are not the normal definition of an indie corp. Large evening mining ops only occur if we cant find any hostiles to go after and there are always people begging to go out on ops. Our current killboard leader is also our only female member (well we think our only one, there may be a few deep voiced vixens out there....silas maybe?). Careful if u join us tho and there are no hostiles around, has been known for her to take the odd friendly pot shot at a BSC member, by "accident" of course :) If ur after an EU or US timezone corp with an extremely fun loving bunch of players who have a desire that BSC continues to strive towards noteriety and success within eve. We arent here just to make our wallets fat, being a part of BSC means wanting to be a part of something more. Come join us in BSC Public channel for a chat and see what you think. I asure you it will the best decision u make :)

What do you mean by year 105? is that when the game when live? I'm just trying to get the idea of how long you have played. You say you have experince, but how much?
Thanks

Year 105 in earthly terms is 2003. Experience wise, BSC have been major players in Eve since the beginning. We've been everywhere on the map. We have a very solid industrial backbone. I've been playing since 2003 and I am not considered in the elite tier of BSC, afterall I only have 30 million sp. The average skill point of a BSC member is 20 million. ------------------------------------------------

I joined BSC at the beginning of EVE and loved every min of it so far . BSC was the first corp i joined after all i had flown with most of the team in Earth & Beyond. I agree with Traz we have allways tried to be fun loving and friendy group of people in an online game "corp". "Dont worry though its not aimed at the noobs, we all take our fair share!" (I agree with this point especially me getting flack )
In EVE the BSC is an old and respected corp and has been arround since the begining of eve. The BSC is labelled as an industrial corp but hostiles soon find that we are not the normal definition of an indie corp. If you after an corp with an extremely fun loving bunch of players who have a desire that BSC continues to strive towards noteriety and success within eve. Edited by: Bigsmak on 01/12/2006 21:35:41 Been in EVE for over 2 years and spent a year and a half with BSC.
Took me in a total N00B and have transformed me into the sleek pod pilot that you see before you.
We mine things, shoot things, sometimes mine what we should be shooting as I'm sure I saw someone try to strip mine a station once! ..
The guys we have in our midsts are some of the oldest (not in real life ) players in the game and its not unusual to have 5 or more 40 million SP pilots in your gang. Trust me, I would fly into the depths of hell with some of the FC's we have as I know we'll come out on top!
Anyway, Join BSC Public, come and speak with us and see what we are all about yourselves.
The BSC is the best thing that happened to me in game and not many people get to enjoy EVE as much as we do!

Me is me and you are you, I am no more a total Noob, this is due to BSC Come join our corp and then you¦ll see
Well it was worth a try anyway. Been a member of BSC for a little over 9 months now. Couldn¦t see myself in any other corporation. This is mostly due to the friends I have made during my period here, but also because of the experience i have gained.
BSC is a corp that does things together, anything that the world of Eve has to offer BSC has some sort of experience from it, this makes doing new things slightly easier, let¦s you avoid making simple mistakes for example.....although i do recall someone on a pvp wolfpack op targeting a station and getting popped when he was about to test his set up on a corp mate, but hey....it¦s all part of the fun. And that is what this corp helps me get out of this game.....FUN. After all it is only a game, and games are meant to be fun.
Join us in BSC Public chat and talk to one of the recruiters and who knows, maybe we¦ll see each other in game and in corp.

I have been playing on and off for ages. I have never been to 0.0 space in fact I don't think I have even been below 0.4.
An old friend suggested that I find a corp and get some proper game experiance.
Is it really worth the move? And, after reading this thread the BSC seems like a really good corp. But why would you want to take someone like me on?
I have about 14mill SP and a run lv 4 missions all the time!

Your experince matters not so much, of course we would like more experinced members, but so long as you have the sp you should be able to cope in what we do. We can teach you other things like Comabt industry etc.
Join us ingame at BSC Public, you can talk some more with some members and possibly have a interview.

Quote: A tribute
The morning mist lies heavy over the plain as you prepare for yet another fight. You have been here before. Or have you? So many memories, so many dreams, all the same. Yet different.
The morning mist so clear and crisp, like the touch of virgin hands. A veil if innocence wrapping these warriors, embracing the violence. But all in vain, we are not here to be soft or gentle, this is the time for violence, desecration, victory and glory
In the distance enemies approach, final checks are made, full health, full mana, all equipment on. Check.
As the group starts moving closer to the sound, the roar, the sound of death, your heart starts pounding, breathing heavier, adrenaline starts flowing through your veins. You know what is to come. And you smile at the memories of blood and cries of pain from your enemies. After all, the best in life is to hear the cries of your enemies, see them crushed beneth your feet.
Approching your enemy nervousness grips your heart, you have been here before. No time to feel, no time to remember. Only time to fight, time to survive.
Your whole body aching as you are struck by a mighty blow. Before you know what is going on half of your health is gone, you stagger trying to get away. But your opponent will not let you go that easily, he yanks you back and rips your heart out and lets its die while he holds it in his hand.
You die, only to live again, to fight again.
(c) Ted Samuelsson, 2001
This was originally written for a very different game to EVE and a different audience. However, the same holds true for EVE and BSC.
In my time in EVE I have met a lot of players. Some of them I respect, some I don't. Some I trust, some I don't. All of those I respect and trust are in BSC. We have been close to being crushed time and time again. But due to leadership and corp members helping other corp members we have prevailed. And we will continue to do so.
/Seth
