Previously 40-60 FPS during combat et cetera in previous Kali builds, current one however leaves me at a steady 10-15 FPS no matter what I'm doing, including sitting in station.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? This issue started with the patch that introduced the Hyperion model. Install is as fresh as it gets.
Machine is a 3GHz P4, 1 GB of ram, 15 GB free disk space, 9600 XT graphics card. Kali ran smooth as silk before this (better than Dragon) .
Anyway, post if you've got the same/similiar issue and what the important specs of your rig are like.

Edited by: ChronoLynx on 24/11/2006 08:35:14 It is because of the ATI Card, go NVidia I am getting 30-60FPS still myself using a 6600GT.

Thanks for the bump and/or thread****ting. Anyway, just wondering if this is a complete fluke or if others have been having the same issues.

I say scrap the horrible NVIDIA cards before they burn up and go ATI if you want reliable cards. You see, NVIDIA has a tendency to put in ****e condensators in their cards, which results in them slowly breaking down. They did it with that 6900 series, for instance. Not that it affects windows or EVE, but if you want to play, for example, BF2142 or Titan Quest, then you're looking at serious problems.
And yes, it's a free bump. Sort of. And no, it's not because of your graphics card. - EVE is sick. |

I'm seeing the same problem. 15-20 FPS from the current Kali client even with almost nothing on screen, way lower than the normal Dragon build.
System is an Athlon X2 4600, 2GB, GeForce 7900GS w/ forceware 91.47, and XP SP2. |

Edited by: Darth Kuminos on 24/11/2006 18:09:02 Currently Running a nVidia card, and noticed a huge FPS drop from previous build.
In station the FPS are normal. Getting around 70-90 FPS, but when I undock and in space it drops. The previuos build, I was getting around 70-100 FPS in space, now it won't get much above 40 and that's sitting in an empty system. Not even combat. I would hate to see how bad it would be in combat.
Current System: Intel P4 3.0 Ghz 2gb DDR 400 Ram Nvidia Geforce 7600 GS (512mb) running Forceware 93.71 drivers

Edited by: Victor Valka on 24/11/2006 18:37:32 I have a similar problem. Using nVidia's 7900GTX. Dropped from FPS 60 in space to ~40.
I think the problem is somehow related to the new seamless map. Good news are that the problem does fix itself once you zoom in and out of either system or world view, then my FPS go back to the current TQ level. Until you enter the game again.
I've filed a bugreport regarding this but maybe someone else has additional input.

I'll bump this up as well, when playing the current RMR build: Docked : 193fps In Space : 102fps avg Window Mode : 90-95fps avg
But when testing the revelation build: Docked : 165fps In Space : 89fps avg Window Mode : 30-40fps (major drop)
Im running SLI 7900 GTX 512mb Cards (dual 1gb)
The rest of my system stats are through the roof, so i shouldn't have these sort of problems unless the code is still impure or other minor graphics upgrades have been done - either way something is off :(

i'm pretty sure it has something to do with the new seamless map change (the galaxy stars now appear in normal space.)
i'm just generally lagging all over the shop now.
