Lets be honest, we all did it at some point. Anybody popped into thier text realm to see how things are going? Mine seems to have been populated with; LOL, ROFL,GHEY, UR. Hohum, bring on the missiles.

I've tried.
The RP places (whee permanant death) I used to slum around on are now filled with Quake-like action and people crying about losing their 'boss gear'. I weep.
Regular muds, I've tried. I just can't bring myself to deal with levelling treadmills anymore.
Need a text-based EVE, we do.

As long as eve is not turned into a mamby pamby story telling game I will be happy to play it.

yeah you get the idea.

I used to play a lot of Aetolia, still check their forums from time to time. Warms my heart to see the same folks still going strong

Oh hell no. The places I've RP'd on have all been, well, good.  No happy fluffy bunnies. Grim, dark, futuristic, permanant death, formerly mature playerbases (seems the WoW crowd is infecting every game, no matter how small, these days )...
Usually with the learning curve of EVE, come to think of it. *sigh* Would that there were more complex games out there.
